Autobiography/Memoir by a member of one of the old money US families like Vanderbilt, Rockefeller etc.

Non-Fiction, Autobiography/Memoir by a woman who is related to one of the old money families from the US, like Vanderbilt, Rockefeller, Carnegie etc.. I can't remember which one and it may be one I didn't list. But she did not have the famous last name.

I read it before 2018. It would have been written 1990s to maybe mid 2010s.

What I remember: Her father dies when she is young (suicide?). She has at least one brother possibly two. The mother may have been pregnant with the youngest when the father died. Because she said when the brother was young he thought he was his own father reincarnated. She really drags the mother throughout the book for not being a good parent. At some point when she is I believe a teenager (1970s?) she goes over to a neighbor boy's house and he shows her a weapon (gun, knife?) maybe trying to impress her. She is not impressed because her mother at the time was with a guy who was an arms dealer or something like that. And she had seen more impressive weapons. With the attitude of if this kid only knew. I also remember she mentions that her mother ate Ayds diet candies.

It was a hardback in English that I bought secondhand. On the cover or inside there was an old black and white photo of one or two people from the early 1900s in strange outfits for a costume party perhaps. On the back there was a photo of the author in a dress (wedding?) standing next to her mother who I think is in a pantsuit. The author has a look on her face (with head tilted up) like she just exclaimed 'UGH!'.

Thank you to anyone who reads this.

For privacy reasons, you don't have to specify the family if you don't want. I'm just curious what it's like to be a scion of a notable family.
