A list of puns related to "University of Chicago"
We have all decided to kind of take adVantage of the close Quarters for the next week and We kind of started a pseudo-think tank, for random projects And ideas we have all been wanting to work on... lol ... my brother and I and a few other guy have spent most of the morning working out any issue that might need to be addressed for one of my aircraft Designs and Poppy and a few of the Computer science guys are Triaging the code for a game our friend Simon is developing that he has been having problems with. Mason and Lucius are Building something in my living room I have no idea what but it looks cool and They are architecture students, So I have no doubt Iβll end up buying an apartment in whatever they are building in a decade or two... lol...
dumb question i know, but is one preferred? I feel like if I write out "The University of Chicago" every time I want to mention the school, it'll make me seem fake and uninterested, but at the same time, UChicago seems less professional (although it's easier to read so maybe the AOs won't get boed)
Any thoughts?
I hadn't seen any real reviews of Dr. Garza here or on any other site. I did hear quite a few people say they'd heard "generally positive things" from a friend of a friend/through the grapevine etc, but never any results or firsthand accounts. I had my consult with her a month ago, and she answered most of my questions (how long would I be off work, when can I exercise again, etc) fine, but seemed surprised I wanted to see results photos. She didn't have any ready to show, and when I asked to see them, she said she'd have to check if she had any. She and her nurse left and I redressed, and then the nurse arrived to walk me out. I asked again if I could see results photos, and she told me Dr. Garza did not have any she could show me.
I just got a bill for nearly $435 after insurance, which already seemed exorbitant before other post-op trans friends and the therapist I'll be working with to get my top surgery letter told me the same. I called again this week to see if there was any way I could see results photos electronically, so I could know whether or not these results are something I want to continue pursuing. I was first told I could schedule surgery with her, and I could see the photos at my pre-op appointment. When I said I didn't feel comfortable booking surgery with someone I haven't seen post-op photos of, I was told I could come in for another office visit.... for information that should've been available to me at my first $400 visit.
I don't have "receipts" for the phone calls I made, but here's my bill to prove they bill almost $1k before insurance for a consult: https://imgur.com/a/Bs9a6mj At the end of the day I know it could be worse, but I'm incredibly frustrated at feeling taken advantage of for money and don't want other trans folks to go through this same BS.

This is not the AMA thread.
/r/Debate is glad to host Dr. Mearsheimer as the newest subject in our Debate AMA Series. The AMA will take place on September 13th from 9 AM to 12:30 PM CST, on /r/Debate. John J. Mearsheimer is the R. Wendell Harrison Distinguished Service Professor of Political Science and the co-director of the Program on International Security Policy at the University of Chicago, where he has taught since 1982. He proposed the theory of offensive realism, which describes the interaction between great powers as dominated by a rational desire to achieve hegemony in a world of insecurity and uncertainty regarding other states' intentions.
Notable books written by Dr. Mearsheimer include:
The AMA will be geared towards a discussion of the Korean Peninsula and South Korean missile defense, although any questions on all topics related to Dr. Mearsheimer's expertise are welcome!
