A list of puns related to "Turtle (submersible)"
But it's nothing compared to the terror I'm feeling as these social media campaigns lobby to try and free him.
Here's the wikipedia link giving a rundown, but the gist is that The Turtle was a submersible used to try and attack British warships in the New York Harbor in 1775 during the Revolutionary War. According to many this makes it the first time a submersible was used in warfare, but accounts I have read differ in details and I have heard that the event may have been fabricated. What is r/askhistorians opinion?
Hey my turtles are big enough that I feel bad having them in a tank, thus I have a bin as a semi-pond. They have free reign of the floor and take advantage of it! Freaked my mother out when they hunt a fly...
I bought a Marina submersible heater. I have no idea if I can place it fully underwater, or horizontaly/diagnally. Does anyone know?
Its this one (gonna get your opinion and not just rely on reviews... I voted one down to -1 because the response just contradicts the review...)

I find myself thinking a lot about how BGS will approach vehicles and this got me wondering. Could they pull off submersible vehicles? It seems possible but how likely?
My brother lives somewhere rural and his power goes out so he runs his house off his electric car. He has a 220v submersible well pump. He wants to run a well pump on 110v. I was thinking of telling him to install a 110v jet pump inside the house vs pulling the entire pump out. Anyone ever tried this? I assume the water could be sucked through the submersible pump as they are probably a centrifugal pump. I have never disassembled a well pump so I am not 100 percent sure. What do you guys think?
I've never been into drones, but lately I've been thinking about starting a project to make a submersible with IR and visible light cameras with a video link and telemetry for top-down mapping temperature variation (potentially fish, etc). I don't know enough about the DIY space to know whether this this feasible, so does anyone have an idea if this could work?

... keep reading on reddit โกAny recommendations for a quiet sump pump? Have a setup with a sump pump taking excess water from the gutters and yard to a holding tank to be used for gardens etc. works well but the pump vibrates through the house. Itโs about a meter away from the piles and down about half a meter. Anyone know quieter or less vibrating pumps? Current pump is a cheaper ozito from bunnings that we got just to see if system worked. Now wanting something good. Cheers!
Will this make it harder for the pump in any sort of way? The gravel consists of rocks that are 20mm (0.8 inches) in diameter. Thanks.
Hi
I am no expert in pump, but I have been suggested either these two pumps

May I know is there any different in functionalities between these two?
I beached my Seamoth at the entrance of the Aurora (A close call with a reaper in a previous save led me to be overly paranoid) and now it's lodged in there good. At this point I'm starting to think I'll have to leave it and swim back to the lifepod with my Seaglide, but I really hate swimming by the crash zone without a vehicle if I can help it (plus my base is about 250 meters down and I don't yet have any other submersibles.) Would a propulsion or repulsion gun work, or should I try something like ramming into it with the Seaglide or a Prawn Suit?
