A list of puns related to "Troy weight"
Man, I bought so much physical silver for the past few months until I started measuring my body weight in toz π
I just took them out the packaging today to weigh them and noticed one was 31.12, 31.16 & 31.15 grams is that normal or are all of them supposed to be 31.1 grams?
Hi All,
I would recommend silver stackers here to buy balance to weight you coins in Troy Oz. There are so many on Amazon that you can buy.
This is very important especially when time to sell your coins, you have mean to proof that your coins are legit.
They are cheap....usually around less than US$20.
Just a recommendation.

Personally I really like how the whole thing flows. Makes the battles feel a lot more active while also allowing for more unit diversity. Finding a way to incorporate the weight class system into a game where there are more unit types could really improve the battles. Love how tanky a frontline can be against other units but at the same time when you manage to flank them they absolutely shred.
Troy: the cornerstone of the precious metals market for centuries, AKA Imperial + 11%. Arguably the first globalized weight system; do you see it as a positive, neutral, or a negative impediment of sorts to the modern industry? It will always be prominent, if only because of the sheer volume of minted stuff already out there, but do you think the market will (over the rest of this century basically) steadily transition mostly to metric production? China switched to 30 gram pandas in 2016 for instance and it seems like metric stuff from private European mints are becoming popularized as well. The old troy sub oz weight standard "grains" (1/480), and in name at least the Pennyweight (when's the last time you saw someone call/label a modern 1/20 oz that lol), have been phased out for either explicit fractions of a troy oz, or grams. In the US, metric has supplanted standard imperial for coin/round, bar, and capsule measurements because of the simplicity that provides compared to having to work stuff out to a thousandth of an inch.
What do you think? I know it frustrated me a bit starting out and still does to this day when trying to do mental math on a bunch of mixed constitutional silver, let alone international coins. I view a slow but steady transition to metric in precious metals minting as positive to be honest. It reflects legit evolution with the times by a notoriously draconian industry, lowers barriers to entry both in the immediate knowledge you need to absorb going in, and opening up even more doors for the sizes of bullion both big and small (and thus better suited to all levels of income). Also the further easing of international circulation and usage.
As the title says Iβm curious if thereβs a difference, I thought all silver was in Troy ounces. Iβm sure Iβll get blasted for this lol my local coin store has a bucket to sort through so I grab pieces that I think look cool or I know the mint but if Iβm losing out from not getting more weight I need to re think how I select
A few years back, it seemed that a "Bag" of coffee beans was 16oz.
more and more these days, coffee beans are sold in 12oz bags (a troy pound is 12oz, Avoirdupois is 16oz)
Moreover, I'm paying more USD for 12oz today than I was for 16oz before.
Anyone have insight into this?
I recently purchased a 10 oz Engelhard presses bar that I have determined is a fake. I am trying to determine if it is truly silver and have used the magnet and ice test. But when I weigh it it weighs 11.040 oz. it should weigh around 10.9 oz, I think. Is the extra .1 oz enough to say it is not silver? What is the typical range? Or are all measurements out the window because it is already a known fake and who knows what it really weighs?
I am thinking of getting myself a board game for christmas. I mainly play with a group that enjoys Euro games(ones that involve mostly competition , dice rolls and also worker placement). Troyes looks like it would fit the bill with the heavy interaction between all the players , having to deal with risky moves, while castle of burgundy seems the game that has less interaction, due to the multiplayer solitaire that most euros games has), but it has much content for its price(anniversary edition was the one i was keeping my eye on since it also has a solo mode , with a few expansions as well).
Some of the Euro games we have played:

Roommate himself is 23m.
We have a very quiet and comfortable living situation. I lived with Troy (roommate) for about a year before Hannah (gf) moved in. It was an unexpected permanent move rather than temporary, but everyone gets along, and in fact Troy and I are closer because Hannah is the type of girl who is very outgoing and brings quiet, shy people out of their shells.
Hannah's breasts are very large. They seem even larger than they may be due to the fact that Hannah is only 4'11. She jokes that she's 2/3 boob, even. Her biggest bras say 32K, the smallest say 32GG. She's typically modest with them, as she doesn't enjoy a lot of male attention. Not that I try to, but if I were to ask her to wear something "revealing" I don't even know that she'd have anything in her closet. She typically takes off her bra in the evening. Troy usually stays in his room and doesn't really socialized with us most of the time (no negativity, he's just a loner type, any time he does come out we all chat happily). There's never been any complaint about her bralessness.
For the record, I can definitely say Hannah isn't Troy's physical type. She's a size 16, and he has a big preference for very skinny women. Not "fit" but just very skinny. So I honestly doubt he's looked at Hannah in any sexual way to begin with -- not to mention, like I said, she's generally modest and doesn't have them flopping around or anything.
Troy and his gf (Jenna) are a new thing of the past 4 months. He's brought her over and we all hung out, and Jenna and Hannah got along extremely well. But a few days after, Jenna sent Hannah a message on FB asking her if she'd mind wearing a bra when Troy was around -- citing that it was inappropriate and kind of sleazy.
Hannah just shrugged it off and said sure, why not. So to compromise, she started weary a very flimsy sports bra. Things seemed like they were fine until Jenna came over again, and Hannah just happened to be coming home from the gym, was walking between our bedroom and the bathroom without a bra on (but was otherwise clothed). Jenna lost her shit and started yelling at Troy about this, and then called Hannah a tramp, a sleaze, etc. S

The Eagles defied the odds and clinched a playoff spot in week 17 when they completed their sweep of the Washington βWho cares what they are calledβ. The Eagles took care of business down the stretch knocking off a number of lowly teams to get to 9 wins and be able to rest key starters in week 18. They set up a meeting with their old friend Tom Brady and his Buccaneers down in Tampa for Wildcard Weekend. The Bucs easily took care of the Panthers in week 18 to secure the number two seed. While the game will be down in the Sunshine State, the weather looks to be anything, but sunny. The weather forecast is calling for rain and wind gusts between 20-30 mph which could favor the Eagles and their top ranked rush offense. But running against the Bucs big DL will be no easy task. Vita Vea has a huge size advantage over Kelce who he will most likely be lining up over in a 0 technique and while Ndamukong Suh is not the All-Pro he once was he is still a big body that can clog up the run game. If the Bucs sell out to stop the run it could be on Hurts to try to win it with his arm which could be difficult, especially with the weather. The Bucs have two guys they can match up on Goedert in Antoine Winfield Jr. and Lavonte David and they will get some pass rush help back with the return of JPP. Hurts will need to rely on his young WRs more to get open and quick. On the other side, Brady beat the Eagles with quick short throws earlier this season in a game where he was without Gronk, but while Gronk is back Brady has lost one of his favorite WRs Chris Godwin to an ACL tear and lost Antonio Brown to being crazy and probably running on the side of the road shirtless somewhere. With limited weapons the Eagles need to shutdown Evans with Slay and bracket Gronk. Playing tight with the predicted weather should help the Eagles slow down the Bucs passing attack, but they will still need to worry about the run game and Leonard Fournette who had two TDs against them in week 6. Should be an interesting matchup in the rain and the Eagles will make it really interesting if they can win the battle in the trenches. Go Birds! |
