A list of puns related to "Triple parentheses"
I have seen triple parentheses around a lot, and I can figure out what it means. By triple parentheses I mean surrounding a word like (((word))) Example: https://www.reddit.com/r/MurderedByWords/comments/eyxnt7/just_show_us_the_returns/fgk8lc9?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share
It'd be more appropriate to post this right before Hanukkah starts, but honestly, who even fucking knows when that is?
Also if Snapshitbot uses the "Jews did this" line then it's proof he really is sentient.
Think about it this way: if white people were the...

What a great sub! I wonder which mod hates the Jews?

I'm genuinely confused, does he not know the antisemitic implication of this? Do triple parentheses imply something else in a different context?
Sorry if this isn't the best place to post this so I'll remove it if need be.
As stated in the title, I've seen far-right subs such as t_d use the whole triple parentheses thing. Another comrade gave a good explanation to what it meant a while back but I have long since forgotten it and the thread itself. Can someone re-explain?
I made this just for fun, not actually hoping this would be added to the game, but wondering what yall think. I also have no idea if it's well balanced.
Pixie: The pixie is a fallen being of a race similar to fairies. She is at the spire cause... idk I didn't make up a reason. Starting health 74-ish. The deck has an emphasis on Debuffs in particular.
New status effect: Mettle. The player can play cards that grant mettle. Whenever the player gains Strength or Dexterity, all Mettle is converted into the same. If a card gives Strength and Dexterity, Mettle will apply to whichever is listed first on the card. Mettle decreases between turns in the same way that Weakness and Vulnerable do.
Unique Relics:
Staring relic: Paperweight Wing. Each time you reshuffle your discard pile into your deck, gain 1 Energy.
Common relic: Eye Patch. Enemies with Vulnerable take 3 damage at the start of their turn.
Uncommon relics: Toy Soldier. The first time you reach hand limit each turn gain 1 Energy.
Tin Bell: Enemies no longer naturally negate Vulnerability.
Rare relic: Clogs. If you take damage on the enemies' turn, draw 1 more card next turn.
Boss relics: Obsidian Wing (replaces Paperweight Wing). Each time you reshuffle your discard pile into your hand, draw 3 cards.
Lead Ring. Start each encounter with 2 Mettle. All future curse cards are duplicated upon pickup.
Endless Torch. Each time you enter a rest site you may take 2 rest site actions.
Shop only relic: Dentures. Each time you enter a shop gain 35 Gold.
Deck: Card cost is indicated in brackets [X]. Card upgrade ability is indicated in parentheses (-1 damage get pranked)
Starter cards:
X4 Attack-[1]-Strike: Deal 6(9) damage.
X4 Skill-[1]-Defend: Gain 5(7) block.
X1 Skill-[0]-Poke: Apply 1 Weak and 1(2) Vulnerable. Exhaust.
X1 Skill-[3]-Dazzle: Gain 2(3) Strength and 2(3) Dexterity.
Attack cards:
Common-[0]-Swat: Deal 3(6) damage. Gain 1 Energy.
Common-[0]-Slap: Deal damage equal to your Dexterity(+4).
Common-[1]-Pounce: Deal 10(14) damage, discard 2 cards.
Common-[1]-Claw: Deal 2 damage 3(4) times.
Common-[1]-Swing: Deal 11(15) damage. Exhaust.
Common-[1]-Spiral Strike: Deal 6 damage. Deals double(triple) damage to enemies with Weak.
Common-[1]-Curtsey: Deal 10 damage. Upgrade 1 random(selected) card in your hand.
Common-[1]-Sting: Deal 8 damage. Draw 1(2) card.
Common-[1]-Flatten: Deal 6 damage. Apply 1(2) Weak.
Common-[2]-Mutilate: Deal 3 damage and

after months of just using my keyboard with my custom layout and firmware as is, I'm back with a motivation booster to improve with cool new features and some experiments (I always have these waves). Therefore I'm on the hunt for new feature ideas that I could try out and don't know about yet. While doing so I realized it might be time to share some of my own custom features which might not be very popular (or not at all). One of them is a feature I call "dancing brackets". A couple of days ago I just tried to ditch it an replace it with an alternative approach. Just because I thought it could be even better. Turned out I really love this feature and switched back again. It works really well for me, so I would like to share it with you.
Dancing brackets are actually very simple. It uses tap dance for paired characters (e.g. parentheses, curly braces, ...). On tap: opening character. Double tap: closing character. Triple tap: opening and closing character. And that's actually already it. I have some nice tooling around to make creating these mappings very simple. You can check it out here (usage with custom tapping terms).
Let me try to add some reasoning why I think this is a great feature. First of all, I must put this into the context that I'm using only 34 keys. I would say that's pretty much at the border before using steno typing. But with a bunch of fancy features I feel incredibly comfortable. Anyway, in result I try to save space and have keys with multiple functions where ever I can (and works well for me). I also always strive to have a single layer for symbols and numbers (plus the four standard keys on the base layer). Putting this together let me think about why I need two keys for every paired character pair. Most of the time I only need the opening character. My IDE (sometimes even inserts the opening character), shell and other input elements do automatically complete the closing character for me. Due to this completion feature closing characters are typed much more rarely than most other symbols. Despite a few occurrences of actually typing a closing character the only exception to me are (Neo)Vim forward motions. Traditionally they use closing characters. So far I'm sticking to this. If it should ever start to annoy me I could al

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Do your worst!
I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π
It really does, I swear!
