A list of puns related to "Trick 'r Treat"
Iβve been hearing people talking about it for a long time and a lot of people say itβs stuck in developmental hell, but is it still being worked on or is there no hope for it?
Happy Halloween!
Edit: looks like a few people have taken this post a bit more seriously than I intended π. Everybody that came to my house got candy, no questions asked.
When they added the candy bowl for the Halloween "Trick or Treat" event I knew I needed to build something around it using the "random switch". For anyone that's never played around with it the random switch comes from the advanced connector plan and every time you turn it on it will choose (randomly) to power the connector on the right or the left of the switch - which makes it ideal for Trick or Treat.
So I built a Mothman church and filled it with worshiping mothmen. But the mothman demands sacrifice. Beyond the parishners you'll find the room where the game begins. Players are presented with a button with doors labeled "Trick" and "Treat". Once they flip the switch there's a 50% chance that the door for "Treat" will open, revealing the candy bowl and an exit from the room. But there is also a 50% chance that the door for "Trick" will open and the entire room will be filled with a fast killing radiation. Whether you live or die, it's entirely up to chance... or perhaps the Mothman:
Notes about the build:
In order to prevent people from spam flipping the switch I put it behind a powered door that would close as soon as the switch was flipped (blocking it from being accessed). You'll notice actually every time someone flips a switch, both this door and the entrance close. The secret behind this is using powered speakers (which you can hear sometimes when the switch is flipped) to re-route which objects receive power. This essentially routes power away from these 2 doors (which take 1 power each) and towards powered speakers (which take 1 power each) on either side of the random switch.

Iβm looking for any anthology horror films that are connected by characters interweaving the stories together. Specifically, the kind that have a through-line story. So, Iβm not looking for anthologies like Creepshow 1 or Body Bags.
To me, this is one of the most perfect Halloween movies to watch during the season and I know it has a cult following but I still feel like it doesnβt get the respect that it deserves!
Trick r' Treat is one of my favorite horror movies because it does so many things right. It captures the overall spirit of Halloween better than any other movie I have seen. While I don't consider it a "scary" movie, it is an incredibly fun ride, and there are some nice little twists thrown in. Brian Cox is one of my favorite actors, and he gives a great performance in this movie. Sam, the enforcer of Halloween, is one of the best modern horror villains. I know this movie has a pretty big cult following, but I'm curious to find out what you guys think of it. Here's hoping for the sequel that was announced a while ago!
As far as movies set around Halloween and capturing the spirit of it.. ..Trick R Treat did it best. It was just brilliant, the tone and the way it was shot, the cinematography etc. really brought Halloween to life. Can you guys think of any other movies that even come close to Trick R Treat as far as capturing the essence of Halloween so well?
So I just recently saw this film and I must say I was quiet surprise. This film was amazing!!!! I liked how all of it ties together and the whole Halloween vibe. What were your thoughts on the film?
Sam's pretty cool too lol
Just took a peek to brows on reddit. Holy Cow didn't expect so many replies! Thank ya'll for recommending this film!
it's been pending on my watch list since a long time now, and every year there is the news that it will finally be released soon. It's 2020 and we still haven't seen it, anyone has updates ?
I didn't even know PokΓ©mon could have zero IV stats until I caught this little guy. I know it's a ghost type, but I think this one really died.

Enjoy!
Hello again, sorry for the delay!
It's almost the big day, and I've seen a few watch parties & livestreams planning on doing this one, it's as good a time as ever to throw up a discussion thread for Michael Dougherty's Trick 'r Treat (2007) and share your thoughts on it!
From IMDB:
>Five interwoven stories that occur on Halloween: An everyday high school principal has a secret life as a serial killer; a college virgin might have just met the guy for her; a group of teenagers pull a mean prank; a woman who loathes the night has to contend with her holiday-obsessed husband; and a mean old man meets his match with a demonic, supernatural trick-or-treater.
Our very own r/HorrorMovieClub discord is watching tonight (Thursday, 10/29) at 8PM Eastern!
Nerdist has the Director doing a live commentary Friday 10/30 at 10PM Eastern
If any of you support The Movie Crypt podcast on Patreon, they're doing their own live commentary tomorrow night at 10 as well!
It's available to buy or rent pretty much everywhere, although I don't think it's currently included any of the services.
Just curious.
Did you make an actual haunted house for trick-or-treaters to run through for their candy, or did you just put out a bowl?
I dedicated one of my camp spots to a haunted house that will stay, year round.
It has 5 sections, each with their own themes, each behind a switch door so there's no skipping.
Candy bowl is at the end, behind a switch door, and a copper ore machine is at the exit door, for an extra reward.
Might post pics or video of the walkthrough later, but was curious who all spent the extra effort for their visitors?
Iβve watched a good combo of classics, foreign flicks and comedies already this month. I watched Evil Dead (1981), Dale & Tucker vs. Evil (2010) & 28 Days Later (2002) already this week so today is two of my favourite horror films- Trick βR Treat & Halloween III: Season of the Witch.
Whatβs everyone else watching?
I re-watched Halloween (1978) earlier this month and caught Halloween (2018) last week!
