A list of puns related to "Trace heating"
So I have this guy who had me come to his house to do a ton of work -2 new showers valves with trim -replace a kitchen sink and recipe underneath -run 2 ice maker lines
Then afterward tells me his drain pipe sometimes freezes in the winter. I have a plug in heat cable in my car and tell him I can throw it on but it wonβt help much he needs to get heat down there so it wonβt happen again. Fast forward 3 months now I get a text that says his pipe froze still and heβs taking me to small claims court. He says I have the option to pay back the full amount (including all the money for the showers, kitchen sink, lav, vanity, ice maker lines) or heβs going to sue and blast me all over social media. I apologize that the product was not up to his standards and offer to replace with a better quality product. No response after that. I just started my business and just need advice for what to do from here. Is this just a scare tactic (guy is a manager at a used car lot) or something I should worry about?

With the cooler temps setting in, my unheated garage has gotten very chilly. I'm looking for ways to keep the printer at a nice temperature.
Has any one used the plug in heat trace? Was it effective?
Any other solutions that are common?
Weβre located in frosty Alberta Canada, and I am wondering how to properly re-insulate and vapor barrier the plant atrium. I know that vapor barrier is supposed to go on the warm side, but there is heat trace under the tile on the top where the plants sit, and I am concerned about creating a fire hazard by doing so.
Info about the atrium box:
It is an exterior addition over our deck. It has cold exposure on the bottom, outside wall and two ends. There is no sheeting under the siding. There is no vapor barrier whatsoever. It currently has 6β of fiberglass insulation on the deck/floor inside the box and is otherwise hollow.
The siding is rough, so I want to approach it from outside. We have leftover rockwool from a previous project I would like to use if reasonable. My thoughts were to fill the void entirely with rock wool and then use eps or a product like Certainteed MemBrain on the outside under the siding.
Any suggestions on how to go about it would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
