A list of puns related to "Toolbox Murders"
I would like to note an inconsistency on Kenneth Pierceβs age. Different sources give different ages, ranging from 34 to 44. His license put him at 44 so I went with that.
Kenneth Clay Pierce was a Kentucky man who had been living in Pensacola, FL for about 13 years at the time of his disappearance. He lived a transient lifestyle, changing addresses frequently and oftentimes living on the street. He was last known to have worked in Pensacola cleaning up hurricane debris (probably after Hurricane Katrina), but he had no steady job.
Pierce had issues with alcohol and was known to run with a rough crowd. He was known to hang around a public ballpark on T Street in Pensacola and was a familiar face at area shelters. He also frequented clubs and package stores in the area. After conducting interviews in this area, LE theorized that Pierce was killed in Pensacola and that his body was then dumped in Baldwin County, AL.
Pierceβs body was discovered by highway workers in a wooded area off Highway 90 in Seminole, AL. Highway 90 runs through Pensacola at the same area Pierce was last seen. The road crew noticed a large, foot-locker style toolbox and, curious, opened it to see what was inside. Initially, they thought someone had dumped a large animal carcass; however, upon closer inspection, they noticed clothing and a belt.
>βWe were curious what was in the trunk,β one of the workers said at the time. βAt first we thought it was an animal but we looked and saw pants, a belt, shirt, and knew it probably was a human body.β
A wallet was also found on the remains which identified the man in the box as 44 year old Kenneth Clay Pierce. X-rays and medical records were used to confirm his identity. The last confirmed sighting of Pierce was about two months before his body was discovered. The body was badly decomposed and investigators believe Pierce was murdered at least a month before his body was recovered.

... keep reading on reddit β‘Hello! I am just wondering if anyone has heard the audio tape of the Toolbox murder of Lynette Ledford? I am trying to find it but cannot find it anywhere.
> Miles Naslund, 49, was reported missing from his rural home near Tofield in September 2011. According to court documents, Helen, 53, and her son, Neil, 25, allegedly committed the murder on Sept. 5, 2011. Mother and son are also accused of hiding the body in a truck box, then sinking it into a water dugout... Another son, 32-year-old Wes Naslund, has been charged with one count of accessory after the fact to murder.
Domestic violence seems a possible motive, although I can find no evidence of previous police engagements with the family. The farm was allegedly failing in 2011, but Miles wasn't killed for life insurance money (he hadn't been declared dead in the six years he was missing) or to push through the sale of the farm (the family still resided there as of September 2017).
What the hell is going on on western Canada's farms?
