I'm trying to make a Christmas lobster chowder. I need a can of the goop inside and I'm having a hard time tracking it down. Any recommendations?
How often can you have crab/crustaceans and other seafood invertebrates?
Does anyone use crab tomalley in their recipes? i was thinking of adding it to crab mac n cheese or maybe a seafood alfredo sauce. maybe an etouffee? any ideas are welcome :)

The green stuff is seeping into the meat, sort of. Is it just what the crab eats that's causing this dark green color? Because normal tomalley should be yellow-green.
I had kani miso (crab tomalley or crab innards) in Japan and I liked it so much I got a can of it from the supermarket. I have no idea how they prepared it at the restaurant though. It was just a brownish paste that they took out of the fridge upon ordering.
I'm not sure if I'm supposed to cook this or if I can just eat it straight from the can. The can itself isn't refrigerated.
And I tried to translate the can and there wasn't anything warning you to cook it first.
Has anyone else tried this stuff from a can before?
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Personally Fear Not is my favorite track. Followed by Lipstick on a Pig then Optimistic Nihilist.
I have no idea why, but Fear Not feels so much like Bendable Jesus off Indoor Recess. It's got almost the same energy in a sense.
Lipstick on a Pig feels a lot like TPCM, it quickly became a favorite. So far it feels like CODS went in every direction with this album.
Especially with Weirdo Man as it's a little different than the usual CODS song, it feels like a mash with Snuff Flick and it's really enjoyable. I was hoping for a slower, calmer song on this album and it definitely delivered. Definitely deserved praise.
As for Optimistic Nihilist, it's a banger. Makes me wanna put my tinfoil hat on and look for aliens. Lol.
Think only song that hasn't caught my attention very well was Hot Tomalley. I do have to be greatful for it though, I'll never get that ball gagged lobster out of my head for the rest of my life, it's now something I curse all my friends with.
Trying to keep it short, but I think Scary Melodies is an amazing callback to previous albums, as well as being it's own thing. Everyone did an amazing job, and I can't think them enough for giving us more music!
As for any of the band members lingering this thread. What's YOUR favorite track off the new album?

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
