A list of puns related to "The Jeffrey Dahmer Files"
I keep seeing this mentioned here, does anybody know where or how I can watch it in the UK as it doesnβt seem to be available anywhere.
Many people to this day believe that Dahmer was insane, including some FBI agents. They believe his story that hated killing and was pretty much black out drunk while murdering people. Others point to his efforts to create βliving sex zombiesβ as evidence of his insanity, or his βskeleton murder shrine.β This is all easy to explain as the actions of a very calculating sex murderer, not an insane and guilty man.
Yes, Dahmer did actually try to make zombie slaves. He drilled holes in their heads, while they were still alive but drugged, and poured boiling water or acid inside. This was a very scientific approach to his macabre goal. An example of what a psychotic person might do to create a human zombie might be performing some kind of ritual or the belief that one has psychic powers which can create a zombie slave. Dahmer was fascinated with human anatomy and likely reveled in playing the βmad surgeonβ on his victims. I think itβs likely he grew up reading about lobotomies (which were performed until shortly before Dahmer was born). Thereβs little chance Dahmer performed these operations while black out drunk.
Dahmer also collected his tools of murder over many months- which included 55 gallon drums and strong acid to dissolve flesh, and power tools to dismember corpses. He managed to use these instruments to dispose of over a dozen adult corpses in an apartment complex without being caught for many months. A psychotic killer is simply not capable of these complex actions. Psychotic killers tend to kill their victims in a sloppy manner, usually with a blitz attack in a semi-public area, and then leave the body where it lies. Dahmerβs crimes were well planned and executed over many months. Thereβs almost zero chance Dahmer could dismember a corpse and dissolve it in a vat of acid all while wasted, or if he was truly psychotic.
Dahmerβs plans to built an altar out of the skeletons of his victims is also incredibly bizarre. But you have the understand the psychology of Dahmer- he loved being around dead bodies, or even parts of dead bodies. Even from a young age, he was fascinated with animal bones. It makes perfect sense that such a killer would want to construct a private area to be close to the bones of his victims and to reflect on his crimes. Dahmer knew exactly what he did to living people and he enjoyed reveling in memories of murder.
And yes, itβs well known that Dahmer was an alcoholic to some degree. The majority of serial killers use alcohol

I think it's a very engaging read, I started it yesterday and almost finished. There's a lot of stuff I never knew about Jeffrey Dahmer in here and the recaps of what he did are genuinely shocking to read. But most importantly it shares things about the victims (although some parts are weirdly judgemental towards them in a way that's hard to look past)
But I really can't vibe with how pretentious other bits are... like when the author spends 3 pages diving into the historical significance of cannibalism, or talks about how Dahmer was "infected by Dionysus" idk it just seems like he's reading way too much into it.
I just think it's weird how much thought is put into Dahmer's incel fantasies
What are your thoughts?
Would he let them go?
This show was on Netflix in my region (NZ) somewhere between 2016-2018). I don't remember what the name of it was or the actors in it. Last time I checked, it isn't on Netflix in my region anymore. I am sure it wasnt a Netflix original or else I would have found it by now. I checked the Movies and TV Shows for Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer but couldn't find or recognize any of the shows.
I don't think it had any documentation add-ons if that makes sense. I am sure it was a dramatization of the events of what the killers did and how the police eventually caught them.
I think it was only one season but had 3 episodes for 3-4 different serial killers each. It followed the perspective of the serial killers and the police trying to connect the dots to find them.
I am pretty sure the series started with Ted Bundy explaining that he wanted to be a lawyer and showed his girlfriend at the time. I remember a scene where ted's girlfriend finds a bunch of taxi bills to different places in their car. I remember another scene that shows Ted imposing as a police officer and trying to lure a girl out of her car in this parking lot area. I don't know why but I remember a taxi being involved. The scene also showed that he had a lot of handcuffs and such.
Later on in the series with a different killer which I can't remember the name. I remember one scene when he is about to get caught in a little motel in the desert. He has a young girl with him that he kidnapped and he dyed her black to make less recognizable.
Very random request but I just remember this show was a banger just can't seem to remember the name. Hope any of you do. Thanks.
Dennis Nilsen and Jeffery Dahmer both operated around the end of the 20th century. Dennis Nilsen lived in England, while Jeffery Dahmer lived in the united states. Both men were necrophiles, and both had an attraction to men. Nilsen and Dahmer killed their first victim in 1978. Dennis Nilsen was 37 and living in an apartment in Melrose Avenue, Cricklewood, North London, before killing his last victim at 23 Cranley Gardens Muswell Hill, North London. Dahmer was 18 and killed his first victim, 18-year-old backpacker Steven Hicks, in Ohio. Dahmer wouldnβt kill again until 1987, while Neilson carried on killing until he was apprehended in 1983.
Both men had enlisted in the army. Dahmer was discharged from the army for drinking too much and terrorising other soldiers stationed at the barracks. Nilsen had a more positive time in the army and would go on to say it was the best time of his life. Both men flourished with the structured nature and discipline of army life. When Dahmer left the army he lost that structured routine and soon began killing again. While Nilsen went on to become a police officer after he was honourably discharged from the army and didnβt give in to his urges until he left the police force.
Both men had killed a similar number of men. Dahmer had killed 17, while Nilsen admitted to 16. Both men had the same M.O. They picked up their potential victims at gay bars and brought them back to their apartments before drugging and strangling the men. Not all their victims were gay men, but men they would meet in the street and enticed them back to their apartments with the offer of drink and drugs. Both the killer's victims were aged between 14 and 35
The act of murder was just a means to an end for both men, and both shared the same fantasy of possessing their victims. They would keep their victim's bodies for days, even weeks. They slept with their victim's bodies in their beds and would dispose of them when the bodies started decomposing. They even boiled their victim's heads. Nilsen and Dahmer nearly got caught early in their career only to get away by the skin of their teeth.

May 27, 1991:
Konerak Sinthasomphone, 14. The younger brother of the boy Dahmer had assaulted in 1988. Sinthasomphone was drugged and had hydrochloric acid injected into his brain before Dahmer left the youth unattended as he left the apartment to purchase beer. When he returned, he discovered Sinthasomphone naked and disoriented in the street, with three distressed young women attempting to assist him. When police arrived, Dahmer persuaded them he and Sinthasomphone were lovers and that the youth was simply intoxicated. When police left Sinthasomphone with Dahmer in his apartment, Dahmer again injected hydrochloric acid into Sinthasomphone's brain, and this proved fatal. His head was retained in the freezer and his body dismembered
Dahmer was 31. The boy was only 14. Police really just gave him back while he had a hole drilled in his head, was naked in the streets, and had neighbors saying he needed help.
He also worked at a chocolate factory for a bit
Love true crime TV and just watched this special on Jeffrey Dahmer. I was completely appalled at this particular victim- long story short, a simple ID check by cops at the scene would have saved this kidβs life. But they failed at that. I canβt believe it! I mean, even when you get pulled over for a minor traffic offense the cop checks your ID!!
Anyway, right after that, I had to go pick my son up from work. I canβt get this poor kid outta my head. As soon as my son gets in the car, I say βI just heard about this poor kid who got killed by Jeffrey Dahmer and it totally could have been prevented!β And my son says βI donβt want to hear about it.β But I couldnβt keep my dumb mouth shut and just kept venting about it. Now I feel really bad about not respecting his request to not hear it.
TL;DR I was shocked after a tv special showed a tragically preventable crime, vented to my teenage son while picking him up from work. Feel bad about not respecting his request to not hear about it.
