The Saints really wanted Ricky Williams in the 1999 draft. The Bengals had the 3rd overall pick.
The Saints offered the Bengals:
- All of the Saints’ 1999 draft picks
- A first-round pick in 2000
- A first-round pick in 2001
- A second-round pick 2002
The Bengals turned it down. They then selected Akili Smith, a guy who they thought could be their franchise QB. The Bengals then had the number 1 overall pick in 2003.

Everything I’m doing the math for is coming out closer to 32,500 stubs and I’ve seen people saying you can get them for like 20-25k
It was a chicken coup.
A few people have been asking for hints & tips on how to get conservation points as the market has some ridiculous prices and the 100 a day just doesn't cut it. The way I have done this is to create my franchise zoo as a CC farm initially and here is some of the stuff i learnt along the way that might help (not exclusive, definitely don't know everything but its a start):
- Buy with cash! Always if possible buy with cash, its easy to get (get that rating up). Be patient. I have found that early morning (in Europe at least) the cash listing are pretty decent.
- Focus on fertility. Nothing less than 50% fertility will do, this is a farm not a zoo. This is essential
- Africa farm - in one medium enclosure you can have Warthogs and Ostrichs, as well as Buffalo and Wildebeest tbh. These are all relatively cheap to buy (and in cash normally) and can all live in one medium sized enclosure (I have about 20 animals at any given time)
- Use what conservation you have to get Red Pandas, Red Ruffed Lemurs and Ring-Tailed Lemurs. They breed, they go for a lot of CC, profit
- Say hello to everyone visiting. Easy 20 CC
- Let everyone breed. When there are too many in an enclosure, find the worst fertility and sell them
- Don't build it too big. I have 9 enclosures (2x lemur, panda, dogs, 2x bear, wolf, mandril and Africa farm, 70 ish animals total). This is manageable quite easily but you could go a bit bigger if you like micromanagement
- Big old bears are worth a lot of CC. Worth the time it takes to let them grow a bit
- At first, release animals into the wild. Get conservation up to max, cash moneys to buy animals with, then you can sell or release as you like.
- Think this is boring? Use all the spare money you have to prep what you think you would like your proper zoo to look like
- try to get golden + 80%+ animals - reward for releasing 1st newborns into wild is way better than some trash stats animals can produce in lifetime (u/Asphare)
Personally, I think this is a sacrifice worth making. It is not particularly fun but once it gets rolling you can make an awful lot of CC. I've been running it a few hours on double speed and i'm coming up to 5k CC. When I'm ready, I can replace section by section with my proper zoo with loads of money and CC.
Anyway, this is working for me. Anyone else have any other hints & tips?

Jacksonville went 4-12 in their first season and then made the playoffs the next 4 years in a row - making two AFC championship games. Jacksonville also made the playoffs in 2007 and 2017 where they made the AFC championship game as well.
Up until this point I’ve been farming pretty casually. A handful of clears a week. I’ve never really enjoyed these game modes much, but they are a necessary evil.
Starting this week, I’ve ramped up how aggressively I’ve been farming. At this point I have the demo/adrenaline BXR I wanted, I have the Vidmaster title and (obviously) the associated shader, emotes, and head ornament. And yet, at this point I’m only rank 10 and therefore am not even close to the end of this grind.
I really want to stop, do something more enjoyable for a while, and pick it up here and there later. But on the other hand, it’s so much more efficient with a streak that I don’t want to break it, if only because it’ll be that many more rounds I have to do later.
Just venting. I know a lot of you love it. Glad you do, wish I did.
EDIT/update- I'm finally done! I got to 16, and then finished out 16. Unfortunately I had tunnel vision on this goal and totally missed the server maintenance. So I lost 30 packages and about 1500 essence worth of potential packages ETC also. Ouch. And then I ran one more last night, found out that the streak bonus does apply after reset, got super lucky had a "join in progress" five times in a row and finished out the reset pretty efficiently. I'm glad that I won't need to touch this again for a while, but will also say that I don't hate it as much as I did midway through. I'm not sure why, repetition generally makes things worse, but in this case it didn't. Still, I won't be touching it again this season unless it's to save some bounties for WQ.

This strikes me as a huge prisoner of the moment take, not to take away from what Ja is doing right now. Luka is still 2x All NBA at 22 and among the best creators in the league. Are they right?

So I picked up eggs straight from the farm at the farmers market. Wondering if there will be anything I will notice in them from standard eggs bought at the grocery store in Canada/USA. Will they last less time before going back? Will there be a taste difference? Anything I should be aware of.

Battlefield wasn't a hero shooter, was a tactical war experience with rock, paper, scissors gameplay mechanic (for infantry using classes with limited gadgets and weapons favoring others and vehicles with limited capabilities and weaponsfavoring others), also maps were designed to have balance between that infrantry classes and vehicles (covers for infantry, zones where vehicles were in disadvantage and the opposite, all together in the same map), if you dump the core gameplay mechanic and do empty unbalanced maps, then it isn't battlefield anymore.
If EA wanted to release a hero shooter they could have done it without using "battlefield" franchise name in it, doing it they were just lying to every Battlefield franchise fan to make them buy a game that isn't Battlefield, simple as that.

Played 2042 for 2 weeks straight. Unlocked every gun except the .50 that unlocks at like level 70 (progression is way too grindy right now). I'm level 52. I feel like I've already done all there is to do in the game as there are basically no rewards for grinding. Between 50 and 70, there are zero unlocks (correct me if I'm wrong on that between unlocking the K10 and .50 rifle). There's not much to do. There's only 5 ribbons. The rip off of cods calling cards are so stupidly easily unlocked. •Fart once while in a tank •Breathe while on any map •Blink *Unlocks one of the better looking calling cards Same thing goes for the titles. The hardest one to get is the one that requires 42 kills in a round. And let's be real, that's not saying much because you can either farm in multiplayer with one of the unbalanced vehicles or farm bots- either way unlocks it.
I turned on BF4 for the first time since 2042's launch today and I'm just... Bored with it. I've dumped at least 4,000 hours into BF4. I've gotten some crazy clips and have multiple 140 accounts. Like.. I'm over it now. It doesn't scratch that itch anymore and it kinda sucks. I want to love 2042 so fucking bad but... As of right now, it's just... Empty feeling.
