This past weekend my wife and daughter were on th couch watching cartoons. I was in the kitchen and yelled,

Hey there /r/Puns! I'm working on a pop-culture table-top card game similar to Story Wars for me and my friends, and am trying to think of a punny name for the title! The current name is Crossover Mania, but we can all agree that that's terrible, so please help me out!

The game will be mostly battles/challenges between 2 characters, and the game will include characters, items, locations from comics, movies, anime, cartoons, games, etc.

I'm also going to be using some puns for certain cards' flavor texts, such as for Spider-Man: Fun Fact: He has a bit of a web addiction.

My young daughter really used to like that cartoon character "Dora the Explorer" and one day my wife bought her a bouncy ball with the Dora motif on it. She showed it to me and I said "That's adorable". Because it was a Dora ball. Apparently 4yo is too young for puns.

Girlfriend: "Who names their kid Dexter? The kid will always be bullied for the little kid in the cartoon. Seriously, why Dexter?"

Me: "Well, it guess they thought it was the right choice... Get it... Dexter.... Right..."

Girlfriend: "... No?"

Me: "Dexter means right in Latin. And right is well... right, like correct."

Girlfriend: "... Ugh...." (thinking: you and your dad jokes again)

Me: "Well, at least I haven't left you out of the joke :D"

Girlfriend: "...."

I was reading the news and saw a piece about a cartoonist who was fearing for his life after he dared to draw Muhammed in a comic. He had to go into hiding after his house was burglarized.

ME: Hey, did you hear about the cartoonist who's house was broken into?

My wife: No, what happened?

ME: Oh, he drew this cartoon about Muhammed and apparently that's very offensive in some cultures and so some extremists were...

My wife: disappointed Oh...I thought it was going to be a joke...

ME: Alright...hey, did you hear about the cartoonist who's house was broken into? He had to DRAW his GUN!
