The Bolsheviks Puns

MLs contend that anarchists wanted to maintain the original soviet system but Bolshevik dictatorship was necessary, and that even some anarchists at the time agreed with this because the alternative would have been right-wing restoration of the autocracy during the Russian Civil War.

According to Lance Selfa (contributor to the International Socialist Review), the Bolsheviks treated the anarchists kindly while the anarchists were committing terrorist acts against the Bolshevik government. For example, anarchists would be released if they agreed not to shoot at the government, and anarchist bookstores were permitted as well as Kropotkin's funeral.

How accurate is this? I know it's obviously heavily biased.

What Bolshevik path's the best?

I've been listening to a podcast about the Russian revolution for a while now and it made me go and read the Kaiserreich wiki page about the civil war to see what happened in the one true timeline.

I find myself rather confused by it. So much is similar or the same was the OTL so that Germany's actions seem weird and a little irrational. The Provisional Government resisted them and continued the war, then after the Bolsheviks took over and got a good beating they agreed to Brest-Litovsk. The Bolsheviks are thus the side in the civil war with peaceful relations with Germany, in contrast with the Whites who never made peace when they had the chance, and the SRs who want to restart the war at any cost. Entente motives for supporting the whites and SRs are easy to understand: they want to reopen the Eastern front, but Germany suddenly deciding to give material support to their former enemies in order to overthrow the Bolsheviks just seems... wrong?

There's this one paragraph where I feel like Germany takes a wild swing towards masochism.

What 6D chess was Germany playing where they thought overthrowing the Bolsheviks and setting the Czechoslovaks loose to start an uprising in German Czechoslovakia or successfully evacuate to the western front would help their war effort in any way? Why would they betray the Bolsheviks who are the one faction (lead by Lenin, who may well have made a promise to get Russia out of the war in exchange for free passage through Germany) committed to peace with Germany?

Am I missing something or was this just a big blunder on Germany's part to remake Russia into the form that was hostile to Germany rather than the Soviets who looked

Recently I’ve played as Kaganovich but he isn’t a very OP leader, so I’d like to know who are the best bolsheviks to expand Russia (including marshals Zhukov, Tukhachevsky and Frunze). Also, who are the best bolsheviks to the Russian people?

During the Russian revolution there was an anarchist uprising in Ukraine where 7 million people lived along libertarian socialist principles, and then the Bolsheviks betrayed them, and took over their territory.

From what I've read it seems like true worker and peasant ownership was a reality there, or at the least close to happening. They had already gotten rid of money in some places!

Doesn't it show the idea of seizing the state is not only unnecessary to achieve socialism, but that allowing the state to exist is counter revolutionary to our goals, since it was then used by "socialists" to crush actual efforts for liberation of working people.

That's it, that's the joke

It’s hopeless to try to persuade rich Bolshevik pedos who infiltrated Gov to be good people. They are evil and evil men have no place running our country into the ground.

Thomas Jefferson warned that if these days ever came upon America, that it is the duty of every Patriotic American to abolish Gov and replace it with whatever serves us best.

I say we try self governance under Common Law. We pay the Police through monthly anonymous donation drives. We can defend our country from any ground invasions with our arms. Tyrants have admitted to this so we are our own Military.

To me, there is no Gov. Just an occupying force of Communist infiltrators with Sheep masks on them. We must abolish them before they completely run our country into the ground and kill us all.

It’s easy to do it. Just don’t fund them through taxes, don’t shop at their Corporations and don’t obey anything they tell you. Just obey Common Law (don’t hurt people, kill, steal, ect...).
