Hello commanders, can someone with the THQ connected to a NXT measure and tell me the dimensions of the base when they are both connected? I'm trying to make a baseplate so that I can attach both of them when they are connected together to a desk mount.
I have found dimensions for the THQ on VKB's site, but I also found an older promo pic with different dimensions and looking at the setup vids it looks like there is some overlap when they are connected together so it would be a little less wide than both individually.
I got 2 gladiator sticks and a throttle quadrant (GNX-THQ) as gifts.
The sticks work fine but the throttle quadrant is a paperweight at this point.
I've tried hooking it up with the USB cable or the 4/3 pin connector cable but neither made a difference, the device isn't being seen by the computer.
Hi all.
I just added a THQ to my Gladiator but it doesn't show up in the VKB Device Config software. (Only the Gladiator does)
I cant find a Youtube vid detailing the steps to set up this configuration, only a Gladiator + SEM & that uses different buttons to trigger the setup process.
Pretty sure its connected correctly - 3 pin on the Gladiator side & 4 pin on the THQ (There is two 4 pin plug options to plug into right next to each other but all the vids I've watched say that the modules have multiple plug in options for different configurations so I don't think that's the issue
Any help would be much appreciated.
I was just thinking about what the best cheap throttle would be to compliment a HOSAS setup in the future would be, but I just realized that neither the THQ or TWCS have even any centre detent for full range control, yet the little micro axes on the SEM do
For just setting like a cruise control value in space while flying dual stick wouldn't that theoretically make the SEM a better cheap pick or am I missing something
I put in a Day 1 order for some of VKBβs new modules, but now Iβm second guessing whether or not this is the right choice for me, especially given the Kanttorin Kone and GVL224βs custom designs.
I mostly play Il-2, so I picked up 2x THQ, 1x THQ-v, and 1x SEM-v. This is more than enough for Il-2. Iβm very excited for this kitβs modularity, knowing that down the line I can combine it with the TECS and mount it all nicely in my simpit.
However, I love the look of the Kanttorin Kone, and imagine that it would seriously increase the immersion. Itβs pricey though, but it looks like itβs worth it.
Thereβs also the option of ordering a custom kit from GVL224, but I havenβt seen any designs from him that interest me as much as the Kanttorin Kone consoles. Iβve heard that his prices are really reasonable.
Curious if anyone has experience with these products, or if you are in a similar boat as me. Thanks!
I think the most recent THQ Nordic game I really loved was Elex, which is getting a second game next year. Sure, it wasn't the most well polished or innovative game out there but it implemented a really cool idea pretty well and I thought the game was really fun and interesting! The Destroy all Humans remake is a game I just got and am excited to play as I never got to play the original. They also bought the studio behind Expeditions: Viking which, imo, is a seriously underrated RPG!
THQ Nordic just announced a digital showcase event for the 17th and in the video, there's a 10th anniversary logo with a brand new render for a new spongebob game on it.

I like my controllers to be butter smooth and to accept minimal inputs. The THQ being so light and the friction being so heavy I push it completely away before I push the axis lever.
Even in the tutorial video you can see the guy is holding it on both ends before using the levers... I guess it's not a problem when mounted to a gladiator or a support but I got it as a stand-alone to put on my desk.
So how do I loosen the clutches even more? It's nigh unusable to me like this.
Even my decaying, half-broken TWCS is smoother.
Edit: after spilling its guts on my kitchen table, regreasing and loosening the clutch pads caliper things, it's better.
What strikes me is how tiny it is. A baby throttle.
Wonder if anyone here can help. I'm following the guide to assemble on YouTube.

I'm at the step around 11:30 where you configure the module. It seems like the configuration tool is not finding the THQ modules. Specifically, they're not listed on any device list, and the axes and button presses do not show up on the test page.
Any idea what might be wrong here? Everything is actually going through the THQ modules, in the sense that the USB is connected to the THQ module on the far right, so I don't get how they can be not found.
EDIT: I don't know if it's relevant, but the button indicators in the configuration program's test tab are showing red for me, not green as in the video.
