A list of puns related to "Activision"
Whatβs been happening to this game has been nothing short of shocking. From the insane bugs to us being forced to buy a game we donβt want in CW, itβs like the devs forgot that BF6 is dropping this year.
Now I know a lot of people may say who cares, but remember this, EA is going ALL IN for this entry. Thereβs 4 studios helping make BF6 and they got an extra year to make things right after the disaster that was and still is BFV. Yet Activision is out here taking their player base for absolute granted with bad decisions after bad decisions when it comes to MW.
Excitement for BF6 is as high as it gets, especially with the series going back to modern combat while COD (at least the rumour claims) is going back to WW2.
I think Activision needs to seriously start showing some semblance of giving a shit about the players because they may live to regret it in a few months. Unless tomorrowβs trailer is as much a failure at BFVs original trailerβ¦
Back story:
My buddy got his activision account hacked. He had no idea how. It was instantly unlinked from his PlayStation account and email and password were changed.
He shares the account with his 11 year old son and itβs been a lifeline to the outside world during the pandemic.
My buddy was the leader of our regiment of 70 local dads who get together and play online to stay connected during COVID for the last year.
Even though his accountβs name and clan tag was changed, he didnβt leave the regiment.
My buddy submitted the form on activision website to make a claim for a hijacked account and got a response that it was an incorrect use of the form - wtf. No way to talk to a real live person.
I saw last night that the hacker was online and his party was joinable so I joined.
He seemed probably late teens early 20s, white, and from the midwest.
Since I didnβt fly off the handle on him he was friendly and willing to answer questions.
According to him they run scripts that target high prestige accounts. They run password crackers on proxy servers until they brute force their way into your account through the activision website. He said itβs bad luck essentially to be picked and to be hacked successfully.
Once your account is hacked, they unlink it from your blizzard/Xbox/psn. He said thereβs no point in trying to get it back because on the activision side they wonβt let you re link it for another 12 months and the name email and password have all been changed.
When we asked him what they do with the accounts, he said they sell them. They are posted on discord and people buy them depending on how many skins and guns and bundles are on the account, plus the prestige level and the number of maxed out guns. He said because my buddyβs account was a prestige 12 and had the roze skin and a number of maxed out guns, he would be able to get at least $200 for it.
When I asked him who buys the accounts, he said people who get banned for hacking and donβt want to put the time in to play again from level 1, and people who want content from old battle passes that are no longer available. He said he can hack and sell 10-20 accounts per day.
When I told him that he took a dad and his kids shared account and that the kid cried because he lost his friends list of friends he made through the game and played with daily while learning online, he told me he didnβt feel bad enough to give it back but felt bad enough to give us another stolen account
... keep reading on reddit β‘So, in March 24th this year I got some e-mails from Activision telling me I had unlinked my PSN, XBOX and Twitch accounts from my Activision account. I didn't do it.
Fearing I had been hacked I went to Activision support and started the "need help investigating unauthorized access to your account" process.
The first step in this is to create a new, temporary account, and link your platform account to it.
So I did it.
A few days later they answered me, telling " your issue is not related to the purpose of the form, so we can't help you", basically.
Now I'm stuck with this temporary account, and I can't manually unlink my platform account from it, because it has been linked in less than a year, or something like that.
My progress, unlocks and purchases are in my main account, and I can't use it.
It sucks, Activion. Hard.
Edit: I submitted a Right to Erasure request, and with luck they'll simply delete my temporary account and I'll be able to link my PSN back to my real account.
Edit 2: Issue is resolved. Managed to link my PSN back today. I think they deleted the temp account.
Johanna haries just shut down the flanks discussion on adderal, they are trying to sweep the problem under the rug instead of taking care of the problem.
I know itβs been known that Activision is promoting Cold War at the expense of MW. People said it, but it was mostly exaggerated nonsense that they would spew to trash Cold War. However, I never actually thought that they would ACTIVELY destroy MW to promote Cold War.
After Raven took over Warzone, it seems especially suspicious how their updates are affecting MW. Itβs very odd how specific the bugs are and itβs almost like Activision really does want MW to die. Like they designed these bugs to stop people from playing.
With Xbox players not being able to load up to matches and many maps, I am beginning to think that this is intentional.
The player base is seriously dwindling down as a result of this.
I never believed this before, but after the latest update I actually do believe it. What are your thoughts?
