A list of puns related to "Sydney, Nova Scotia"
So like the title says, I plan on moving to Sydney within the next year or so. Is there anything that I should be aware of when I move? Anything I should look for when buying a house? Any specific areas to stay away from? Just anything overall that I should know before I move?
Edit: Iβm from a small town in Ontario a little smaller than Sydney. Iβve been to Cape Breton a few times. Been to North Sydney a lot. Stayed a few times in different areas but I donβt remember where. I planned on visiting before I moved, but just I know in my small town here there are areas/ streets I wouldnβt move to based on the kind of people who live there. Thatβs kind of what I was looking for. I will have a job out there, thatβs already been figured out.
Heya- I feel like Iβm learning something new everyday so I apologize about all my random posts and questions... but I didnβt know that my VO was the centralized office in N.S. Until todayβ the previous agent wouldnβt tell me but I had a really nice lady today. Does anyone have any idea how quickly theyβre processing at this location or if there is any idea? My eligibility is apparently a βfull passβ and itβs just background in process.. Just want to see if I can get some transparency via others timeline. Thank you!
LTR,FTP etc., and there's not as much information as I'd want, so please be gentle. This concerns a local woman who disappeared in 2017. I'll try to lay out the details and I'll include news articles at the end.
Debbie Ann Hutchison, a 59-year-old retired postal worker from Sydney, Nova Scotia, was reported missing by family on April 24th, 2017, after not having been heard for over a week. The last confirmed sighting of Debbie was April 15th, on a security camera at the local Sobeys grocery store (along with other local businesses), the afternoon of Easter Saturday. The next day (before she was reported missing), her car was found burning in a slightly wooded area not far from her home.
A brief timeline of events - bear in mind a lot of the articles were contradictory with certain dates (e.g. when the car was found), but this is correct to the best of my deduction across sources:
April 14th- Good Friday of 2017, Debbie attended brunch with her brother. Last known sighting by someone close to her.
April 15th - Debbie is seen in the afternoon, via security footage, leaving the grocery store.
April 16th - Debbie's white Kia is found burned in a wooded area by ATV riders (apparently is still billowing smoke when they came across it) - the car is towed for salvage, as it isn't known the owner is a missing person.
April 19th - Debbie's friend grows concerned after not being able to reach her; she'd missed Easter dinner, but hadn't called to explain or apologize. The friend alerted Debbie's brother, who went by the house. He noted the car wasn't there and assumed he'd missed her.
April 20th - Debbie's niece goes by her house, notes overflowing mailbox. People grow concerned, but Debbie sometimes took unexpected trips, so her absence wasn't reported yet.
April 24th - But by that weekend, everyone is worried enough to take action. Debbie is reported missing by her uncle. In her home, there were bags of groceries not yet unpacked, baskets filled with treats (for a friend's grandchildren for Easter) and - most concerning - her small, blind Pomeranian, who she often kept with her and never left for long, was closed off in a room by itself.
April 25th - police connect the car with Debbie. A ground search is launched. Dozens of people are interviewed.
There were a few articles and requests for information , and then.... silence, aside from another plea from the family 9 months later. Which I find bananas because
... keep reading on reddit β‘It was close by my home. I always get sent to water areas buy because it was so close we decided to check it out. We spent the day swimming along the beach line at Christmas Point. Nothing spectacular but the it was fun
