So like the title says, I plan on moving to Sydney within the next year or so. Is there anything that I should be aware of when I move? Anything I should look for when buying a house? Any specific areas to stay away from? Just anything overall that I should know before I move?
Edit: I’m from a small town in Ontario a little smaller than Sydney. I’ve been to Cape Breton a few times. Been to North Sydney a lot. Stayed a few times in different areas but I don’t remember where. I planned on visiting before I moved, but just I know in my small town here there are areas/ streets I wouldn’t move to based on the kind of people who live there. That’s kind of what I was looking for. I will have a job out there, that’s already been figured out.

Heya- I feel like I’m learning something new everyday so I apologize about all my random posts and questions... but I didn’t know that my VO was the centralized office in N.S. Until today— the previous agent wouldn’t tell me but I had a really nice lady today. Does anyone have any idea how quickly they’re processing at this location or if there is any idea? My eligibility is apparently a “full pass” and it’s just background in process.. Just want to see if I can get some transparency via others timeline. Thank you!
I continue to find this interactive chart that ranks North American average new Covid infections per capita really useful. Nova Scotia is now 45th in the ranking and Alberta finally hit #1. Of course massive vaccinations in the US are the only way they dug themselves out of their bad situation. Canada has been looking really good compared to them for 95% of the time.
