A list of puns related to "Sunlight (cleaning product)"
Nguyendex.
I am a first time Mom to a beautiful baby girl who was born 7 weeks premature. I am wanting to know if there are any studies on whether more organic 'natural' based cleaners are better for using around your baby for surfaces in the house or if this is just marketing.
I worry about making sure that things are effectively cleaned and sanitized from germs which I am not sure that vinegar does but also worry about offgassing or anything being noxious or toxic from other cleaners. I have Lysol for multipurpose, windex and a bleach based cleaner for the bathrooms but I wonder if there are better alternatives. I obviously never clean with those things around baby and air out rooms as best I can but I'm still concerned.
Anything that you can provide is greatly appreciated! ๐
Edited for clarification. Also thank you so much to everyone who commented. I appreciate your help!
There are two types of Redditors who have begun reading this: those who know very well that mixing two different cleaning products is potentially very dangerous, and those who have never heard anything about that in their entire life.
This morning I was the latter. Tonight I am the former. If you were in the latter group when you began reading, considering this my public service to you, because you will finish as the former.
So, today I decided I was overdue to clean the shower. I went to the cupboard where we keep the cleaning products and saw we had a general purpose "extra strength" bathroom cleaner and a cleaner that is specifically a mould-killer. I thought, eh, might as well use both. Get it thoroughly clean, but also make sure any mould was dead. Smart, right?
I turned on the bathroom exhaust fan, used the hand-held shower head to wet the tiles and glass, then sprayed it all with first the mould-killer and then the general cleaner. I let it soak in a bit while I assembled my little rechargeable rotary bathroom brush. (Seriously, if you have a bad back, get a powered bathroom brush with an extended handle - bet $30 I have ever spent.)
I came back and started scrubbing, and was about 3/4 done when I realised the detergent didn't just smell bad like it usually does - I was feeling light-headed, my throat felt strange, and I had a burning sensation in my chest. I quickly finished, rinsed it down, then ran out into the corridor and had a massive, violent coughing fit.
Suddenly I felt like I could barely breathe. I could only take in about a third of a lung-full before the urge to cough was overwhelming, so I started to feel like I couldn't catch my breath and began to panic. I got a drink of water, sat down, tried to breathe slowly and calmly so as not to trigger the cough reflex, and spent the next hour or two alternately thinking the worst was over and then having yet another violent coughing fit.
We have an emergency ventolin puffer in the house because a couple of us get asthma-like symptoms when we get a chest cold, so my wife fetched it for me. It took about four tries before I could inhale a puff without coughing it straight back out again, and it started to make me feel better. I then went for a walk in the sunshine and fresh air and felt a bit better, though I got a lot more tired and out of breath from the walk than I am used to.
I mentioned it to a few friends on social media, and they were split
... keep reading on reddit โกI find it difficult to keep some things clean, mainly because a huge migraine trigger for me is strong scents. Dawn, pinesol, tide, they all do it. The recommended products I've found reading through reddit don't all have unscented versions. What's an arsenal of products I can have at my disposal?
I have wooden floors, carpet, and tile. Plenty of wooden furniture inherited from older generations.
Let's go Brandon!

I have a BMW X3 F25 with brown leather and I used McGuire's Cleaner and Conditioner...not really a fan of if. What are you guys using?
Whenever I eat something that has lemon squeezed over it eg calamari it makes me feel like Iโm eating something sprayed with surface cleaner cos my mind has now totally linked the smell of lemon or lime to cleaning products
Seriously those empty spray bottles are pretty expensive for a piece of plastic and seem to break so fast, but get a spray bottle of cleaner for 2-4 bucks and itโs really good quality and seems to last forever. Just buy those and empty them out. If you donโt want to waste the cleaner than just store it in one of the countless plastic bottles you would have otherwise thrown away.
Empty plastic is so much more expensive.
I dont want to wash it every time, looking for another solution.
I asked him what it was and he couldnโt remember which brand, I wish heโd taken a picture. Anyways it said something like:
โDo not buy from us if you have OCD, we donโt want a to be a reason for you to carry out your compulsion, please seek help now, youโre loved.โ
I was working as a sales assistant at a tech exchange store, making minimum wage.
It was a busy Saturday and I popped out back and took a big swig of water from my bottle which was on the side from the day before, and immediately realised it was full of cleaning product, no one let me know this had happened they just left the bottle on the side in the kitchen. I told a colleague who popped in to ask something and immediately induced vomiting. My manager then came in and said I will be fine as itโs just soap and I could keep working.
I started feeling really ill and googled the cleaner, which said to go to hospital immediately and to not induce vomiting. Fuck. Had to ask my manager to leave and his response was along the lines of โugh I donโt want you to go now but I guessโ and I had to go to hospital where I passed out. Throat was sore for days.
Ended up going to HR and had a meeting with my boss but ultimately nothing happened. This was awhile back and Iโve left the job now but looking back Iโm still mad
Btw for clarification, I wasnโt intentionally poisoned , at the end of the day every day we would clean up using cleaning products. One of the mops could be filled at the handle and someone decided it was a good idea to fill up a water bottle. Really smart. Sucked having to smell the fumes of the product for months after knowing how it tastes.
I get my vaccination soon, God imagine could it get any worse ๐๐
I canโt do anything about the humidity in my locker which is really annoying but Iโm trying to alter my routine to keep the mould out!
Hello everyone! Sorry for all of the questions!!
When it comes to hard wood floors, is there a specific cleaner anyone recommends? Does it not matter? Just an all purpose cleaner I can use, not specifically for anything other than cleaning. Oh! Also, is the febreeze fabric refresher okay as well?
I keep reading so many horror stories about cleaners and just want to put my mind at ease already ๐
Thank you for your help everyone!
My machine is currently out for repairs so I was given a loaner by the home health company I am forced to use by my insurance. It has a horrific sewage-like smell in it. When I brought it back, they cleaned it again and the smell is even worse so I can only guess that the odor is from whatever cleaning product they use. Is there any way to get this smell out so I can use my therapy? I have tried letting it run for hours on end but it doesn't seem to get any better, and it just makes my bedroom smell. Thankfully, washing my tubing/mask gets the smell out of those, but the machine itself still produces the stink. The health product company says they have no more loaners in my model and my machine will probably be back before they can get a new one in. Any suggestions? They would not tell me what they were using to clean it.
Hello! Currently cleaning depression room that is really bad. Literally thought I was going to die in here eventually. But alas, I have made progress! I am already feeling some hope.
I have maybe half left to do and I want to stay motivated. I think going and picking out some smell-good cleaning products will further motivate me so Iโm here asking for your recommendations.
I like products that have a super strong smell. Fruity or sweet or just clean smelling. I need laundry detergent, multi-surface cleaner, room spray, and fragrance plug ins. Any advice or recommendations appreciated.
Any recommendations for something I can buy locally. The system is fairly clean so we don't need any heavy degreaser or such. I am mostly concerned with killing off any bacteria that might still be present in the system. Hoping for something I have on hand already, if not that something I can get from a hardware store.
I've been watching these YouTube cleaning complication videos and almost everyone mixes 2-4 products in their toilet/sink/bathtub.
Growing up, my mom told me never to mix any two cleaners because it is dangerous. I'm assuming the people making the video probably do some research beforehand so they can mix and make it look cool, but do people mix things like this in real life?
This is a case for the FBI
Hey all,
I came across this today (not sharing the link to actual product as to not be mistaken for promoting this)

It makes some interesting claims and I quote from the product page :
> Ever wonder how we in the 3D Printing industry are able to print 30kg of resin a month but only consume less than 0.5 liters of IPA Alcohol per month? > > Introducing 3DMSR Resin cleaner. This is a mid-level non-toxic alkaline base liquid which use to remove excess monomers and/or oligomers from a component formed by polymerization. Although is a mid-level alkaline, it still not only allows an e๏ฌective but also gentle removal of the aforementioned substances without damaging the polymerization part ( aka CURED PRINT ). > > Differences. > Normally after print, you will soak the entire build platform, resin tank, and cure print into IPA Alcohol. This will make the IPA Alcohol contaminated at a fast rate. Although IPA Alcohol can be recycled by filtering and UV curing the IPA Alcohol will still be very sticky and cured resin or uncured resin is not easily soluble in normal soapy liquid and this makes cleaning with water is extremely hard. > > But by using 3DMSR Resin Cleaner, things get easier and cleaner. Just spray and wash with water then dip it into IPA Alcohol to remove excessive water. Alcohol will be cleaner and a liter of IPA can last up to 4 months of use. > Scan the QR behind the bottle for the complete User Manual. > > > >

Note that I am from Malaysia and this product seems to be made by a local company. Wondering if anybody here have heard of any similar product/seen it in use over where you are at?
Appreciate any info on it.
I think Iโve figured out that one of the cleaning products my apartment building uses is a trigger for me. Itโs a super overpowering scent and I think itโs the floor cleaner they use in the lobby and elevators. Even with a mask, coming home and riding up to my floor can leave me with a migraine. Does anyone have any experience similar to this? Do you think Iโll have any luck bringing this up to my building management company? I feel like trying to get them to switch products is a bit excessive, but would be less of a headache to them than it is to me (ha!). Iโm in a high rise with a management company, but they seem to be pretty quick to maintenance repairs and the people in the on-site office are friendly enough.
