A list of puns related to "Strange Magic (film)"
I forgot exactly what Andrew Garfield said but when he entered the portal he started walking around asking about atoms, particles, a whole bunch of science mumbo-jumbo.
It makes me think how MCU's "magic" isn't really magic, not even Wanda or TVA's magic, but just the act of manipulating the laws of physics (or whatever the appropriate science umbrella is - sorry science was my weakest subject in school).
Is this ever discussed in the comics? I know Thor explained that humans see it as magic but Asgardians see it as a mix of both.
It makes me ponder how the portal sling ring is just advanced technology. Like how we discover ancient computers in the ocean (Antikythera mechanism).
Harry was born a Wizard, but strange was not born a Wizard and was still able to learn magic.
So for those unfamiliar, The Sorcererβs Apprentice was a Disney movie that came out in 2010, and it was kinda like Disneyβs first foray into live action theatrical sorta-mature movies. It was in the era of John Carter, The Lone Ranger, Prince of Persia, Tron: Legacy, etc. Disney sorta stopped making those kinds of movies coz they did terrible at the box office. Anyways, in the movie, a young man becomes an apprentice to a sorcerer from the medieval ages. Cool concept and the movie had insane world-building that very obviously set up for a sequel but never came. Anyways again, there were very cool uses of magic that I think Doctor Strange II should take inspiration from. The first Doctor Strange was cool and all, but I couldnβt help but notice that most of its magic was making weapons out of sparks/light. Of course that wasnβt the only magic, there was the time loop, different dimensions, astral plane, the Inception-style battlefield, all that stuff, but most of the battles were fought with the sparky-weapons. Infinity War took a great step towards showcasing the kind of magic Doctor Strange uses in the comics, but I hope they take it even further. Hopefully we get Sorcerer Supreme Strange in the second one (unlikely but itβs good to hope) and we can have balls-to-the-wall magic.
When I was listening to Magic City the other day, I heard in the lyrics they said "Look there's a billboard on the moon" My mind wandered to Strange Timez and the music video pretty much immediately, and I refuse to let this go. I may be overlooking things and all, but I really just wanna talk about thisπ€£
Hello fellow Acopeeps!
I'm re-reading ACOWAR (because obviously) and am SO distracted by Lucien's comment to Feyre about the consequences of breaking bargains. More specifically, when he explains to her why Tamlin can't break his deal with the King of Hybern. Has it occurred to anyone else that "even the person who tries to sever the bargain faces consequences" but the King of Hybern broke Rhys and Feyre's bargain and gleefully continued his systematic assualt on Prythian? I know he meets his eventual gruesome end, and that death is certainly a consequence. But the way the Fae talk about bargains, I think the King was a little too insulated in this deal.
Typing this out, I feel like maybe I'm getting a little bloodthirsty lol. Am I the only one distracted by this?

"This movie is a moving museum of Lucasβ worst instincts, weakest characters, and most unpalatable ideas."
Iβve seen recently a lot of people talking about the shot in the MoM trailer where strange seems to be using chaos magic, and Iβve seen people like new rockstars try to relate it to him viewing different worlds in the multiverse to see what caused the issue. In my theory though I believe it to be the spell he uses to start absorbing and taking the powers from other beings similar to how he did in what if (in his episode you do see a flare of red possibility chaos magic) I feel like it would make more sense especially because in the trailer you also see him βcastβ(might not be the right word) two dragons out of his hands also similar to what if
