Hello,
My family will be moving from Canada to the UK (Stoke-on-Trent) in the summer so my husband can complete a PhD at Staffordshire University. Staying for 3-4 years and then returning to Canada.
We are trying to make of the list of pros / cons of buying and renting in Stoke. Looking for a three bedroom home. Thoughts? I'm unsure of buying as I do not know the market or whether an older home or newer build will hold value better.
General thoughts on Stoke?
Any knowledge of neighborhoods within a 30 minute walk to Staffordshire University. Walking distance to a grocery, shops, and nursery as I am planning on using public transit. The only area I have come up with is Hanley.
For a mom with a one year old are there way to connect with the community and make new friends? I have looked at the library and wanted to know other places or activities for young kids.

Know it’s a bit late as people will already be on the road but been stuck in traffic now for a while and seems like we will miss the game as updates say road closed till 7:45.
