Ok, i have no problem with High Fantasy or with modern Fanstay. But there was a magic in the in this booklet. Stories are told by people, sagas like Odyssey or Journey to the West have many stops that can be stories of their own. anything can happen if there can be more narrative about these characters.
when Robert E Howard passed away, others took over his coat. everyone could do their part, everyone could tell, to keep the legends alive. robert invented the characters, but he gave them to us so that we could tell our stories.
pulp magazines interacted a lot with their readers, many of whom became writers themselves. If you look at it that way, the works were the work of the entire community.
Watched this movie a few time's, and there's still something I'm note sure about. Was Solomon's soul part of the deal his father made with Malachi? It seems his soul is damned because of all the evil deeds he did yet at the beginning a demon tells him that a deal was made, and near the movie's end Malachi says his father made a deal to save his other son and betrayed Solomon.
I've had this book for a while, but I've yet to really dive into it. Anyone who has, any thoughts? I don't see much discussion of this one.
