A list of puns related to "Solo (Clean Bandit song)"
It says in the song β I wanna f- whoop whoop whoopβ and later says β I do it soloβ
I'm looking for one or more songs that have a similar (or exactly the same) melody as the chorus from Clean Bandit's "Tears". The melody when Louisa sings: "tears on the ground, tears on my pillow, you won't bring me down" sounds extremely familiar, but I can't put my finger on it.
Some of my personal favorites:
Some Oldies:
Well seems like a few people liked this so let's do another one.
First of all, Ellie Goulding is the fucking best i love her so much. Lights is one of the songs I probably have the biggest emotional connection too, at least for big radio hits. Play that song in the middle of the night with your friends in an abandoned parking lot and you'll see what I mean.
That being said, Rather Be is very close to being just as good as Lights. Both hold this otherworldly vibe like you're about to get abducted by aliens and both come from Britain. They both remind me of What Is Love-Haddaway, like they were made in gigantic cathedrals. Granted, both have lyrics that mean nothing important ("And I think back to when my brother and sister slept in an unlocked place, the only time i felt safe" wtf does that mean) but these songs are more about a feeling than the lyrics . Blah blah blah, you get the point both of these songs are amazing.
Unfortunately, these songs kinda feel forgotten. They were both sleeper hits in their respective years of 2012 and 2014 and from what I remember and they weren't songs people talked about that much.
For Rather Be, the main singer Jess Glynne more or less disappeared (at least in America) and Clean Bandit sounds nothing like this in their other big hits (Solo and Rockabye specifically). Plus, 2014 music is just kinda there. People only remember Happy (because you know, it's happy) and Taylor Swift. That's it. And because of this, people just kinda forgot about their breakthrough hit.
For Lights, that's a bit easier to identify. Ellie Goulding is gonna be a big enough artist for people to remember in the coming decades but not big enough for people to remember more than one song really well. And Love Me Like You Do, Ellie's arguably biggest hit, took that spot. The early 2010s was a really good time for female artists. Katy perry, Adele, Kesha and even Carly Rae Jepsen both were bigger artists or had bigger songs (CRJ) and it kinda drowns out Lights. While LMLYD was in the mid 2010s with female artists near the end of their quality and commercial peak (Katy Perry). In 2015, there just wasn't as much competition. And with females losing the dominating role in pop radio for a few years, (2016, 2017 and early 2018) radio needed a powerful female song to play rather than the disaster that was Taylor Swift's Reputation singles. and Love Me Like You Do was the song that did that. At least from my perspective. And so, Lights has slowly vanis
... keep reading on reddit β‘Recently Clean Bandit and Marina has released the Baby song (https://youtu.be/hlznpxNGFGQ), and the part that starts at 00:38 reminds of some good old song from the end of 80βs β the beginning of 90βs, could anyone help with recognizing it?
