A list of puns related to "Snowball (Animal Farm)"
Snowball: Snowballs platform is based around the construction of a new windmill, alongside more freedom for non pigs. He opposes the formation of a Wolf police force.
Napoleon: Napoleon opposes the construction of a windmill but rumours circulate he secretly supports it, Napoleon supports the creation of a Wolf police force and more protections against human invaders. He believes some animals are more equal than others.
In animal farm, the most decent leader is called Snowball the pig. He is immediately blamed, smeared and chased out of the farm by an army of dogs. Sounds like history is repeating...
There are a few Donald Trump covered pop songs on Youtube are funny.
The talented redditers may be able to make a full length feature parody movie of Animal Farm, that copyright is expired this year.
Mr. Jones: babe pig
Napoleon: Trump
Snowball: Hillary
I would like to add some pop songs. But I am a terrible singer. How do I do the music without any music talent?
At the end of The Hunt, Animal farm is referenced, whose interpretation of what Snowball represented correct?
I feel that is detail that may help solidify what the film's actual message was.
I think is commentary on political discourse on social media and how it is often unnatural, psychopathic, brash, and dehumanizing. I think it is purposefully ambiguous on whether it is a "right wing" film or a "left wing" film because it criticizes both sides. Both sides are extremes.
Based on whose interpretation was correct that would make a big difference.
Comparisons to stuff like 1984 or Animal Farm generally annoy me as hyperbolic, but the way Hillary keeps getting brought up as a boogie man is giving me high school flashbacks. Particularly the way Donald is doing most of the things he accused Hillary of, but is brushing it off because of tiny cosmetic reasons.

Unfortunately this sheep has sailed.
Would one of them eventually be taken care? Would they rule together in tyranny? Would it become a democracy?
There are SO MANY parallels in this book with the JW borgβ¦β¦.I really like to hear your thoughts if youβve read it or are willing toβ¦. The control of Napoleon the pig is very similar to the Governing Body, they change the commandments of the farm like the GB changes doctrineβ¦.They blame everything that goes wrong on Snowball, itβs very similar to how apostates are blamed for bad reports of the witnessesβ¦..Blind obedience is demanded of the other animals on the farm βLoyalty and obedience is more importantβ the similarities are too numerous to listβ¦.his book is a really easy read you can finish it in a few days. I think the message is important and might help someone whoβs waking up see the tactics used by the BORG to control peopleβ¦.. Here is a review of the bookβ¦ βOrwellβs message is this: Malicious groups of people, like the pigs, will continue to use propaganda to usurp power, to exploit the vulnerable, and to control the masses, unless courageous individuals spread the truth and stand up for those who cannot fight for themselves.β
Never thought a fable could keep me up at night but it did. Mostly everyone already, at least, has heard of what George Orwell's Animal Farm is about and represents; The allegory for the communist revolution. Animals at the farm overthrow their oppressor humans and now own their labor! It was fun to try and see who Major, Napoleon and Snowball were supposed to represent and even Squealer. And sad to see how it ended, though unsurprising.
While this is a direct criticism of communism it can basically be a cautionary tale about power in any setting. When those with so much can see no consequence what's to stop them from committing such acts? And are the Animals to blame for allowing the pigs to have so much power? This book of only 160 pages has so much in it, and I will reread countless times. I'll even it share it, does that make me a Comrade?
How I take it, is not supposed a critique of socialism or communism but to Stalin and other dictators who rose after a political vacuum. How he corrupts the teachings of Marxism for his own goals, like "socialism in one country''. How they made socialism a nationalist vigour, people sacrificing for mother their country instead for the betterment of their lives as the working class to free from chains.
Contrary to Trotsky's advocacy to spread socialism on the international stage as he believes socialism can't survive if it is only in one country or region. It needs to take over the highest achievement of capitalism- the World Market.
How 'Napoleon' immediately got to power due to that the others can't remember things in the past since they are just animals. How they immediately forget the 'revolution' lead by 'Snowball' and Napoleon took the opportunity to take all the credit. Also how he alters 'Old Majors' teaching to favour his interest, "All animals are equal but some are more equal than others", instead of just " all animals are equal". Reflects Stalin's deeds when he succeeds Lenin, how he purges the other party and potential oppositionists like 'Trotsky' who was assassinated in Mexico.
David Tepper: Old Major - the visionary who's dream is trying to be achieved.
Matt Rhule: Snowball - the co-leader who eventually will be out-manoevered by Napoleon
Scott Fitterer: Napoleon - the leader who will eventually force out Snowball
Christian McCaffrey: Boxer - the work horse who everything depends on, will eventually be worked to death.
Sam Darnold: Clover - the good-hearted horse who will blame themselves for the failures of leadership
Robby Anderson: Mollie - the horse who misses the attention they once had, they miss the old ways.
Shaq Thompson: Benjamin - the old guard, who has suffered under both regimes
Jerry Richardson: Farmer Jones - previous owner of animal farm, an unkindly master who indulged himself while the farm suffered.
The Cam fans: The hens - the loudest protesters to the new regime.
fans with valid criticism of Rhule/Fitts: the young pigs - executed for critising the regime
Darnold Truthers: the Sheep - "4 legs good, 2 legs bad" = "Darnold good, Gase bad"
Please note: I don't actually believe half of this. I like the regime, and in no way believe they are comparable to Stalinist Russia. I literally was just thinking about how dependant we are on CMC and went from there! Hope someone gets a laugh out of this.
Iβm a teacher, and Iβm teaching Animal Farm for the first time. The last time I read it was when I was in 9th grade over a decade ago. I thought it was a lot of fun when I was 14, but it hits so close to home now that Iβm in my late 20s.
I know this sub isnβt about Communism, but I think everyone here would find something of value in Old Majorβs speech in chapter one. He talks about how the animals toil in the fields, lay eggs, make milk, etc. The farmer takes it all and the way them the barest rations. Once the animals are no longer of use, they are slaughtered. If that isnβt the American Capitalist machine, then I donβt know what is. We work out asses off for these billion dollars corporations and receive poverty wages.
The book also makes a point of outlining the dangerous failure to educate the working class (or the purposeful control of education). As a teacher, Iβm seeing this happen now. More than ever, teachers are being kept from teaching the ideas that matter. Today I was told I could get fired for teaching a book with a gay character. Classes that dealt with race in any capacity have been cancelled. I was told that I can teach Othello, but I have to leave out the race part. I donβt know how Iβm getting away with teaching Animal Farm.
Itβs easy to control and subjugate the people if they are too dumb to figure out youβre screwing them over.
Just some thoughts.

Three nights later old Major died peacefully in his sleep. His body was buried at the foot of the orchard.
This was early in March. During the next three months there was much secret activity. Major's speech had given to the more intelligent animals on the farm a completely new outlook on life. They did not know when the Rebellion predicted by Major would take place, they had no reason for thinking that it would be within their own lifetime, but they saw clearly that it was their duty to prepare for it. The work of teaching and organising the others fell naturally upon the pigs, who were generally recognised as being the cleverest of the animals. Pre-eminent among the pigs were two young boars named Snowball and Napoleon, whom Mr. Jones was breeding up for sale. Napoleon was a large, rather fierce-looking Berkshire boar, the only Berkshire on the farm, not much of a talker, but with a reputation for getting his own way. Snowball was a more vivacious pig than Napoleon, quicker in speech and more inventive, but was not considered to have the same depth of character. All the other male pigs on the farm were porkers. The best known among them was a small fat pig named Squealer, with very round cheeks, twinkling eyes, nimble movements, and a shrill voice. He was a brilliant talker, and when he was arguing some difficult point he had a way of skipping from side to side and whisking his tail which was somehow very persuasive. The others said of Squealer that he could turn black into white.
These three had elaborated old Major's teachings into a complete system of thought, to which they gave the name of Animalism. Several nights a week, after Mr. Jones was asleep, they held secret meetings in the barn and expounded the principles of Animalism to the others. At the beginning they met with much stupidity and apathy. Some of the animals talked of the duty of loyalty to Mr. Jones, whom they referred to as "Master," or made elementary remarks such as "Mr. Jones feeds us. If he were gone, we should starve to death." Others asked such questions as "Why should we care what happens after we are dead?" or "If this Rebellion is to happen anyway, what difference does it make whether we work for it or not?", and the pigs had great difficulty in making them see that this was contrary to th
