Does the fourth international exist, if so would Trotskyism be then seen as the successor of communist ideology in the pre-1962 world, since Bukharinism is seen as a failure with the collapse of the Soviet Union and Stalinism is limited in its spread of its ideology.

It would be interesting to have a Russian communist unifier dealing with Trotsky and his Fourth International.

Hi, I would technically call myself a Trotskyist but I'm still trying to learn more about the ideology and help strengthen my own political philosophy. I understand that almost every Trotskyist is a fan of Trotsky but I was curious if there was any handful of people that like his Ideas but hate him as a person. If so what would you say is the percent of that entirely.

From what I know about Trotsky I would summarize that he was just a educated man that was a Theorist and Revolutionary. (to put it simply)

I’ve been reading Deutscher’s book on Trotsky and he mentions some WW1 essays written like “Barbed Wire and Scissors” or “From a Notebook of a Serb.” I can’t seem to find them anywhere and was wondering if anyone knows where I can read them?

What if Trotsky succeeded Lenin in the USSR instead of Stalin, and Stalin was exiled instead. Then simultaneously, Strasser managed to come to power instead of Hitler. How would this change the second world war?

So i wanna have a discussion I think that is most optimal. Ive talked to lefties across many subs. Anarchos and afro marxists. Leninists alike etc. Anarchos hate trotsky and trotskyism because he helped cull black army. The black army helped with the revolution. And leninist see them as contrarians or as bugs who need an icepick to their heads. Come on bro. Ive huddled around in trotskyists subs and they have some valid theory.

Permenant Revolution. Initially coined by marx but was adopted by trotsky. The theory is that socialism can occur in less industrial places or countries that havent achieved high stage capitalism. And thats true. Burkina faso and tanzania havent achieved high stage capitalism and became socialist. Also that international revolution and permanent revolution is needed to get rid global capitalism hegemony. Why did so many socialist nations fall? Capitalist countries embargoed or sanctioned or outright murdered them. Capitalism will try to keep its hegemony and wont allow countries like cuba flourish. So if both of those aspects are true why havent some marxists (in which most marxist are either demsocs are hardcore lennies) adopted some of these ideas. Like Marxists have adopted mutual aid which comes from anarchism. So why are people fobbing off trotskyism.
