Scott Grimes played Malarkey.
Hey all, long shot here, but we're having an intervention for a family member this week who is a big American Dad and Band of Brothers fan. We want to give him as much support as possible in making positive changes and I was hoping maybe I could find a way for Scott Grimes to give a like 5-10 second video 'you can do this' sort of shout out. Anyone know if he lurks here? Long shot I know..
So, I saw Scott Grimes was on Cameo last week and thought, hey, Valentines Day is coming up - my partner loves American Dad, I love American Dad and we love our boy Steve Smith, so why not send out a request so it can be a surprise.
My god, did he deliver. He filmed it entirely as Steve, performed a live rendition of "Daddy's Gone", and even did a Steve style freakout over serenading my partner with a song about his Father on Valentine's Day, ending it with a typical "AWESOME".
Obvously, Cameo is a paid service but the love and dedication this man has for the character is unwavering.
Currently binging the show and just finished season 2 episode 11 and gotta say I have a new found appreciation for Scott Grimes as Gordon. I love the whole cast, I think they all fit perfectly together. Whether it’s Seth as Ed, Adrianne as Kelly or the rest of the crew, they all bring something fun and interesting to the table.
For most of my binge though I thought Gordon was just there for the slapstick humor, something Grimes is great at, but the character felt like a throw away. But really Seth wrote him 2 solid episodes back to back with 10 and 11. Malloy shows his loyalty to the ship and his friends over Channing in episode 10 and his human more caring side in 11 with Laura from 2015.
Just thought Scott gave 2 awesome performances back to back and made Malloy a bigger part of the crew than just the funny guy that drives the ship. Love the whole Orville family, cause like some of my other favorite shows, they really are one both on and off screen. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for them in season 3!
Spoilers. In season 11 Episode 1 "One for the Road",At approximately 11:07 Morris says- "Tiffany James, foreign body in the vagina." Officer-" She tucked her stash up there when we busted her." Morris-"No problem. I can fish it out." Kerry-" You'll do no such thing." I think this is funny and good acting from Scott and Laura.I thought it was funny that hes so eager.
Seriously don’t think I’ve heard a single Steve song I haven’t enjoyed.
