'Sabbath Mode' is ridiculous and infuriating ΰ² _ΰ²
Installed a new oven and it has a "Sabbath Mode" which allows observant Jews who interpret the Sabbath rule as a prohibition against various activities (including making a fire, preparing food, or even closing a switch or pressing an electronic button) to actually still use their appliances on that Sabbath day.
There is also a prohibition on having any electronic lights visible during the Sabbath, and some appliance manufacturers accommodate this with a "lights out, but still working" 'Sabbath mode.'
Nothing says "devoutly religious" and "adhering to the word of God" like these kinds of workarounds that allow a person to pre-program activities so they don't have to actually do them on the "holy" day when God would get mad at them. I guess they figure God isn't watching or doesn't understand 'Sabbath mode', so they trick their God in order to comply.

Purchasing a Sabbath Mode Oven
Hi,
Our current oven has decided to bite the dust. Its 5 years old. We use the Sabbath mode on it once a week. That means that the oven stays on for 25 hours, once a week. We used to keep it at 350 - we will be keeping it at 250 from now on.
Think we probably cooked the board to death. So going forward: Does anyone have a brand they would recommend that can withstand the long stretches of use ? If not then what the best quality range Ibcan get in the range of 1000 '- 1300. My current model in an LG LRE6383SST.

in areas with high jewish populations, elevators will have a shabbat mode. since jews are not allowed to use electricity on the sabbath, which includes pressing buttons or using switches, the elevator will stop at every floor. this allows them to use the elevator without breaking any rules

Here is my cover of Black Sabbath's Paranoid. The guitar sounds are from Kemper 6505+ Crunch profiles. I double tracked each guitar part with a Shuriken 270 baritone and a PRS Starla. EQ'd a mid boost on the side channel (using FabFilter in M/S mode) and a mid cut in the center channel.

Black Stainless Steel Refrig Sabbath mode
Somehow my kid got the fridge into this mode, and we cannot figure out how to get out of this mode. It's a french door refrig and the manual says #w10730912A. Any idea how I get this off? Tried holding every button for 3 seconds, and nothing is happening.
