Some girls on Talk of Love said that they thought it was going to be Tommy Lee (Motley Crue), so that got me thinking, who else could have done Rock of Love?
I think Tommy Lee could be a super fun character, but with his history of domestic violence that would be a bad look. I feel like Vince Neil (also Crue) could have also done it though since he had a previous relationship with VH1 from Surreal Life and he did do the whole bad boy rocker "Girls Girls Girls" thing back in the day. But I'm still not sure he'd be the right fit.
Could Richie Sambora (Bon Jovi) have done it? David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar (both Van Halen) could absolutely rock that type of show imo. They both have great senses of humour and can do the whole crazy party rocker thing.
In one interview, Bret said the other rocker he thinks could do the show is CC Deville (Poison) and I absolutely agree because CC's my biggest 80s rock crush.
If they had a hasbeen woman from the 80s instead of Bret, Lita Ford would be the perfect choice for that type of show.
If the show was Canadian, we would have had some guy from Helix lol.
Any fans of 80s rock have thoughts on this (Or I guess they could have had a 90s guy too...?)? Bret clearly was an amazing choice, but could anyone else have done a great job in the same role?
I wonder, with the new NIL rules, will this cause an NCAA violation?
I hope they can forgive and move on to promote these tournaments and the foundation. Owen was one of my favorites so I am excited about these tournaments and that Martha would even be involved in wrestling.
