A list of puns related to "Rhône Alpes"
This will be a long read, but i promise you it will be an enjoyable one. I have many stories like this, although I've never taken the time to write them, so please bear with me.
So it was right around November, a new FM was about to be released and i didn't want to invest myself in a serious or a long term save. I started an unemployed career with the intent to never stick to one team, but to go in mid season, fix whatever was going wrong and make my exit before the start of the next one.
In January i was offered my first job. Chiasso wanted to avoid relegation from the Swiss League 2, but they were sitting at the bottom of the table, their team was trash, and their schedule didn't look too good. It wasn't exactly easy, but i somehow managed to avoid the drop and was out of there within 4 months or so, if i remember correctly.
Similarly i helped Chievo, Lecce, Waldhof Mannheim, Valenciennes and Sion avoid relegation, and then i went in and clinched a league title for Bari in Serie B. I resigned, as usual, and was about to go on a long holiday when i was offered the AS Saint-Etienne job out of the blue.
I had attended one of their games just weeks prior, and i was amazed by how loud the stadium was/how much they sang even when losing 3-0 at home. I accepted the job, but this time, with the intent of staying there until the new FM came out. At first, we had a rocky 2-3 years. We were on full on rebuild mode, with me mostly signing french youngsters to learn from the veterans, and getting rid of the divas/players who got paid a lot but didn't do much for us. I signed a regen GK from Colombia, and a left winger from Argentina as well, but South American wonderkids weren't exactly a priority for me.
As years passed, i did fairly well with them, we became a top 10 team and the future was looking bright. However, i was yet to win a title. And this is where our story takes a turn. The board asks me to be a contender for Ligue 1. They hand me €18 million as a transfer budget and about €2 million in weekly wages. I already had my team sorted out tho, and i really had no idea how to go about spending this money. Then i run into the main character of this story. A French-Argentinian 19 year old striker named Christopher Lauri. He was perfect, but there was one small problem. He played for Olympique Lyonnais.

Saint-Etienne and Lyon have a very heated rivalry. It is mostly geographical, with both teams being located in the Auverg
