Little red flying foxes- a type of megabat native to Australia! They are mega pollinators, a keystone species! Aussie trees are receptive to pollination at night- birds and bees are asleep! Without FF our native forests would perish along with the animals that live within e.g koalas! No me, no tree!

Is it just me or are red foxes in Europe thinner and lankier than red foxes in North America?
Looking at urban foxes in the UK and other European countries and comparing them to foxes in North America, the European foxes look, to me, like they're consistently thinner, have longer legs and a longer neck, and maybe even taller ears and a longer snout. How much of this difference is fur and how much of this is their actual body I don't know, but from what I've seen it's definitely a consistent difference. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Is it actually a documented difference between the separate red fox populations?

When red foxes are born, they have dark brown fluffy fur. This changes when the kits become a month old and their red coats grow in. Their dark eye streaks also start to become more prominent during this time. Fox kits' eyes are initially blue, but their color changes to amber at 4β5 weeks of age.
