A list of puns related to "Raptor Aircraft Raptor"
I'm sitting here and wait for the YouTube video. Today could be the day for the first test flight or not. Does anyone know?
Ever since the Iron Hands codex with their ability to ignore movement penalty, as well as to re roll 1s, and double wounds for vehicle stats, we have seen a bunch of lists rocking flyer's.
However, since now all the Space Marines codexes (except Space Wolves) are out, what are some of the most competitive flyer's?
Imperial Fists Fire Raptor
Apparently the Fire Raptor with Imperial Fists + Tank Hunter (2cp for +1 wound) + Bolter Drill (2cp for rolls of 6 to extra hit) is really good, but expensive for 432 points.
A user on here reported that he was able to kill 2 Repulsors in one turn with this combo, but I'm pretty sure unless you go first, you will only have one, maybe two turns to use the fire Raptor until it gets shot out of the sky.
Iron Hands Stormhawk interceptor
Stormhawk interceptors main issue is that it lacks the power of machine Spirit rule which lets it ignore movement penalties, however the iron hands Doctrine fixes this issue and even lets it re-roll 1's for heavy weapons, and make sure you get a lot of punch out of it when it's damaged.
Storm Raven Gunship
I heard the Storm Raven Gunship loaded with centurions is it good idea.
Any idea on what some other good combo's are?
Itβs looking good but realistically I wonβt live long enough to fly my own. If a big investor doesnβt step in, this will be a one-off and thatβs about it. They would require many shops around the country to support the 1.500 deposits if the holders want their planes within the first 8 years. Granted, the experimental categorization is not looking like a manifestation to be.
Another thing is the Cirrus SR2x is getting crazy expensive and that means there is demand for a raptor aircraft but at a higher price than β$139kβ because the market will support it. If a VC guy steps in or Beechcraft or even Cirrus, they will take this and run with it as a certified design. If Beech were to build this, what would the cost be after being certified? At that point maybe it wouldnβt make sense to manufacture it at all.
Iβm afraid itβs unlikely anyone will be building their own Raptor soon or ever. I donβt see this happening because the infrastructure would be crazy expensive to set up and who wants to wait 20 years to get their chance to build deposit number 1001? Most likely Peter will reap rewards he deserves for all his hard work and Iβm glad for him. At least we got to ride along and peer into the process.
Is anyone else following this company? I've just found it at it looks decent so far. I can tell they're learning a lot from the update videos on youtube. So is anyone else ready to put down their 2k now that the prototype is "nearing" completion?
