A list of puns related to "Plus size clothing"
Edit: If this problem is important to you, click here or keep reading.
My co-founder Jess and I just got the news that our plus-size clothing app idea has been selected as out of 750 applicants to the Techstars Paris (a business startup incubator) program! Am over the moon with excitement, have never even been to Paris before. They're going to give us training and capital and after three months make introductions to major investors to help us raise an even bigger round of financing.
Most excitingly though, we're getting the funding we need to solve a problem I really care about: as a plus-size woman, shopping online for clothes is a really mediocre experience. Plus-size women represent nearly 70% of the market for female clothing and yet we our purchases account for barely 18% of what is sold, meaning we are a massively underserved market.
In my opinion, the problem of 'sizing' (finding the right size across different plus-size stores) is largely solved (Torrid, for example, has a sizing guide to help figure out your size from from other stores) but I think there are so many other big issues around plus-size online shopping like selection, materials, and most importantly, giving us bigger girls the same contemporary styles that everyone else has during the same darn season.
Anyways, just wanted to share the amazing news. Would love to hear if anyone else has encountered the same problems as me too when it comes to plus-size shopping and what y'all have done to overcome the issues!
Update: I'm so so pleased to see this post is getting some attention. If you'd like to help us out, please consider replying with the #1 complaint you have with the experience of buying plus-size clothing online today
Update 2: Final Ask I swear: If any plus-size ladies really want to go above & beyond, feel free to fill out this quick 5 question survey too and thank youuuuuuuuu. This data will help us make our app as useful as humanly possible

Most places hardly have Scenecore clothing, but try to imagine Scenecore PLUS size clothing? No one has it!!! Iβm talking about gir hoodies, fingerless gloves, striped long sleeves, how can I find plus size versions of these in 3x?
I've gotten several dresses there in the past few months that really surprised me in terms of fit and quality; always under $30, nice basics made with a thicker cotton that settles against the body in a flowy, flattering way.
Right now the Ava & Viv section has a dress I love so much I got it in 2 colors; a 3/4 sleeve, scoop neckline "basic" dress with a little puff shoulder action for $27, they carry up to 5x in store I believe, and run a bit larger than Torris sizing in my experience.
Hey everyone. I use eBay sold listing to check comps, and I noticed plus size clothing tends to sell for much less than than identical smaller sized pieces... but then I read a lot about there not being enough cute vintage for plus sizes. I want to sell some plus sized vintage, but I donβt want to sell it for pennies, when literally the same style sells for $60-100 in smaller sizes. Any advice?
I'm visiting and I think I'll be staying for longer than I anticipated.
I'm a girl at 3x size. I never like going clothes shopping because it makes me feel really self conscious when i dont find anything my size... but I think I'm going to have to.
Since I never go clothes shopping, I don't know what stores I can go to that dont stop at 2x. I appreciate the help β‘

"Healthy at any size, you go girl, this is what real beauty looks like" I have no problem with this the increase in focus in plus size women's fashion is fantastic... I'm a plus size man. my options for clothing are as follows:
"Slob chic sweat pants with cheap barrel shaped poly cotton T" ok fine if I'm just hanging around the house
"Work site cargo khakis with groin reinforcement for deep crouching" fair enough I need good work clothes
"Full on wedding/corporate conference suit" good formal wear is always needed a fair option
"I am a stereotypical tourist and or a boogaloo boy Hawaiian shirt" a bit loud fine at the beach I guess?
"Weird chequered long sleeve not quite lumber jack not quite office wear polyester thing that screams I am in a sexless marriage and have given up on ever getting laid again" seriously go look at those BIG AND TALL menswear retailers who the fuck thinks that looks good?
and that is it no semi casual date wear no decent sports wear (I am actually rather athletic so that hits HARD) nothing nice for going out to a club for drinks with your mates... and the part that really hits me are these two facts approximately 40% of Australian men are plus size and I am only ONE size above regular sizing... I'm not asking for a Dove style real beauty campaign for men or for body positivity male eddition I just want to be able to by a Fing pair of size 46 trousers that look Fing normal in a semi casual setting
thanks for coming to my ted talk
So Iβm going to need a few new pieces of clothing for summer, Iβm in Fl so a new swimsuit, sun dress, lightweight tops and maybe like a cropped jean. Iβve really only shopped AE, Torrid and Sheen. But Iβm interested in higher quality staple pieces. Iβd rather by less but get better items. Iβm a size 18. Any suggestions?
Starting 2022 I want to invest in some clothing, but Iβve been really struggling to find places with cute clothing in my size. Iβve seen a few posts listing some wonderful shops, I was wondering if we could post anymore recommendations here, Iβm sure some other people might be looking to change up their wardrobe for the new year :)
Hi everyone! Iβm a case manager for the homeless in Chicago and have been fundraising money to buy some reliable winter jackets/warm clothes for my plus sized clients. We RARELY get donation that are larger than an XL which leaves our plus sized clients without what they need. As it goes with general fatphobia, this hasnβt seemed to be a big concern within the city and it has been approached as βtough luckβ for these clients facing the elements. My gofundme has been gaining some traction and now Iβm wondering if you all have any suggestions for places to get real winter wear for plus sized men (spanning to 5x at least). I donβt just want my clients to have a jacket in their size, I want it to be a quality jacket that will keep them warm. Any guidance is a huge help π€

I'm feeling very sad and intimidated about maternity clothing. I'm 17+3 and pre-pregnancy I was a size 18 and I loved clothes. Now I'm at the point where my regular clothes are too small (and painful) and my one pair of maternity has seams that hit me in weird and painful spots. I just bought a pair of black pants, a gray sweater, and a black shirt dress from H&M and I'm feeling uninspired. A lot of things seem to be sold out or not in my size, and I just feel sad that I have 5+ more months of this.
Are there places where colorful, trendy plus size maternity clothes can be found? Bonus points if it's not Shein. No shame to those that purchase from there, it's just not my preference.
I'm a cis lesbian and my wardrobe has become a lot more masc, so I have all these clothes and stuff that I just don't wear anymore. Most of the clothing is size 20/22, there are dresses (some with pockets!), skirts, blouses, I think I have a couple pairs of heels. I have some nice perfume bottles that are practically full, a bunch of jewellery. Let me know if you or someone you know is looking, I'd love to help out a woman in transition who is in need! And in return, if you have some more masc stuff that would fit me, I'd love to swap!
I originally submitted a post asking for recommendations for where to buy B&T mens flannel shirts, but it was rejected. I was pulled to the wiki, but honestly the options are still pretty limited. Could we possibly created a list in here that we can them update the wiki with?
Hello, no judgement please. My 11 year old daughter is tall and quite overweight. I am having a hard time finding clothing for her. For the most part adult clothing is far too big in the chest, or much too big/long...well those that know, know. So is there anywhere in Edmonton that might have clothing for her population? I want her to feel comfortable. Not overly worried about cost. Thanks in advance! P.S. Also open to online options but I would prefer if she could try the clothing on. Edit: just want to say thanks for all the suggestions!
Weβre looking for clothing thatβs suitable for a law firm environment. Any recommendations will be appreciated! Thanks.
I really really wanna expand my wardrobe but Iβve never been able to find goth (or even more alt) clothing in plus sizes :/ does anyone know a good place to shop online? (preferably europe based, but anywhere else is also fine)
as a newly out trans girl, who is on the larger side I'm having trouble finding shops that are plus size firendly please post recomadations in the comments
My SO daughter is 11, 5'2" and about 150lbs. She is very big for her age, and I am having a difficult time finding age appropriate clothing for her size. In addition, she is big around her middle and doesn't have much of a butt so her pants tend to slip down exposing her undies or rear. She is autistic and doesn't seem to even notice that she is mooning everyone until we ask her to please pull up her pants. Does anyone have a suggestion for a place to buy plus size, or women's size clothing for a reasonable price in the US which are more appropriate for a sixth grader? I've tried Old Navy and online because she doesn't want to go try on clothes, but I'd appreciate some advice! TIA
I'm a large lady, working on losing weight, but all my clothes are shapeless jumpers or dresses that don't fit quite right. I'm super self conscious and feel pretty much awful in anything I wear so fashion advice for a larger woman would be great as well, tia
i really want to expand my wardrobe and get more goth clothing but i was never able to find clothes i liked in my size. does anyone know a good place to buy plus size goth clothing online? (preferably europe based but others is also fine)
ps: thereβs basically no thrift shops in my area and the ones there are only sell grandma clothes so thatβs sadly not an option
If you buy plus-size clothing online, what do you think is the most important? Or what caused you to want to buy on this website?
