I have acne w PIH and I want to incorporate niacinamide in my skincare routine so I've been doing my basic research, and I found that the pharmaceutical varieties have a lower conc. (less than 5% usually) and cosmetic ones have 10%. But I read somewhere that proper research has only been done w 2-5% concentrations. So how come the 10% ones exist? And are they safe to use? Can someone please explain/justify this discrepancy to me?
