A list of puns related to "Phalanx (comics)"
I just read HoX & PoX. The entire concept is fascinating to me. Is there any reading, comics or otherwise, that goes more in depth into this type of concept?
I think there is a guy name Ryzpa who was on lvl 80-120 bracket at Asia, his profile say he was f2p, i remember he got 5 gold medal but then somehow he got silver medal now, i forgot, i remember he have 7 gold medal and 1 silver medal, dunno how he do on Gabriel but i think he can get gold medal, and i believe he got that silver medal on Huaxu Phalanx.
So anyone who f2p managed to get 10 gold medals ? if they can get 9 gold medals, then i am sure the 10th medal will be easier
Of course assuming it was end game player , level 80-120
For Phalanx , i see many guide on youtube, S rank can do it, but i think they need to hypertune the memory, get signature weapon and resonance it, because most of them advise to resonance it. Also you must have good Fredick on Plume and Alpha if you want to cheese Huaxu stage(for Alpha it need SS rank and 1 resonance weapon on her signature weapon).
Honestly after playing a lot of phalanx now, I really think they have potential and could be a great class. They have a fun ability and gimmick but it really sucks the amount of things that still hit you through the shield. Grapples, acid, etc. I am personally fine with grapples, as you can melee stunlock some big enemies usually
I wish acid pools on the ground and acid shot at you did greatly reduced damage while shield was deployed, and I wish the Phalanx would draw attention of xenos while the shield was out as well. Let me get the xenos away to help my team, and charge my bulwark.
I've been listening to all the Alien audio books over lockdown and this is the one. It's a great story, the characters are likable and varied, there are none of the annoying clichΓ©s prevalent in all the other books and sequel movies. Ahiliyah is a strong leading female character without having to make a dozen hat tips to Ripley. Technology being mostly 15th century brings back the terror of the original for me. They have no nukes, smart guns, drones or synths the other films/book scenarios are required to skirt around. A film of this book would be so intense because of the high stakes, high body, genuine terror and phenomenal environment design. I've been sure to not spoil anything out of respect for the author.
The Trial Stage Riot is weak to fire; there really isn't an indicator for this until you get into the fight and look at the boss' status or look at the leader boards and look at the DPS top ranked people are using. With that said, people with BUILT S Karens or S Nanamis please put them up as your support upon entering the lobby.
One more thing to keep in mind, you can use your own Contructs if they are better than what your lobby is offering; there aren't really any bonuses in battle (afaik, feel free to correct me) and that system is there to help people who don't have these Contructs or don't have them built.
As we know, the Phalanx is one of the (if not the) most powerful imperial ship in 40K, yet, it's a shadow of it's glory, here Shield Captain Valerian comments about it's situation and even an unexpected revelation: in the past the custodians considered taking it from the Imperial Fists.
>Even on the eve of its appearance in our skies, like some giant red star glimpsed from our observatories, many facts were not clearly understood. We knew it had been dispatched to the Eyeβs leaguer in the final weeks of the doomed defence. No doubt it had formed the linchpin of the last battles there before being forced to withdraw. No doubt its occupants had done their best against the Despoilerβs hordes.

>For most of its long life, Phalanx had resided within the Sol System, or close to it. The records of its involvement during the Great Heresy itself are sketchy and poorly understood, but I struggle to believe that it was not involved in some way, taking the fight to the fleets of the Archtraitor and bringing its uniquely powerful arsenal to bear. The fact that it had been used ever since by the sons of Dorn indicated that it must have been pivotal, for the Imperial Fists were not sentimental about discarding weapons that have been proven to have no use.

>Being a component of Terraβs standing defences, and being manned by Adeptus Astartes, made Phalanx of great interest to us. I had heard tentative voices raised in our counsels suggesting that it should be taken over by the Ten Thousand, the reasoning being that a single Chapter of Space Marines, no matter how storied, could not possibly hope to man and maintain a machine that had been overlarge even for the Seventh Legion in its prime. I myself thought that view vain and foolish. We were hardly in a position to take on such a fortress, and the very suggestion of attempting it would have swiftly led to strife we could scarce have lived with. If there were a case for reassignment, then it would have been to the Imperial Navy, who alone had the manpower to fill its corridors adequately. Even the Navy, though, would have struggled with the greatest task before any of us β to understand it. Like so much else that had been inherited from the dawn of our galactic ascendancy, it had become a mystery, maintained in large part on a basis of guesswork, superstition and idle luck.

Buff stages
Elemental dmg x2 , Extra dmg bonus x2 , Orb pinged extra dmg x2 , Physical dmg x2
Constructs
SS Plume + Sig weapon 0 reso, 2 Eistena and 4 Hanna (5 Bottom Hypertuned)
S Kamui 2 Gloria and 4 Da Vinci
SS Lux 2 Samantha 2 Guinea 2 Catherine
I did tried with zuwen memories using Alpha as Alpha's leader is same like lotus, add 10% atker dmg but forgot to record it
I think part of my steps is wrong or missed something resulted Gabriel have around 8 bars hp left, so i came here to look for answer
I do aware to deal dmg within Da Vinci buff, Arctic form and core passive
Even after the 1st combo, Gabriel still have 20 bars left, not around 17 bars
Did I missed something or any step is wrong?
Hello, i'm wondering what do you think about it ?
I thought it was decent, though choosing Riot as the boss gave me pstd when it was a nightmare to fight I wonder about the ranking though, i've seen that if you take your time to do the 4 first fights, someone in the room will farm the boss and get a high score taking out most of the boss health, is there a point doing that ? Just to kill it faster and be done with it ? I'd guess the ranking only take the points done like PPC.
Also, good thing you actually don't need to stay the whole 30 minutes, right ?
So far, do you find it fun ?
I'm not 100% happy with some details about how spears/phalanx play out and the kinds of strategies they encourage. In particular, the fact that the charging unit has a 1-in-6 risk of taking a wound regardless of its defense score.
Consider a case where I have to get rid of a phalanx guarding a point and I have a very well protected unit and a less protected one (say, dwarf iron warriors and berserkers). The optimal plan is probably to send my half-naked berserkers first, since they have as much risk from taking wounds from the phalanx, allowing me to spare my more precious unit of iron warriors. It's a bit weird to me that the rules encourage me to avoid using heavily armored units to take down a phalanx, and that an unarmored unit has just as much risk to get wounded from the spears as a heavily armored one.
Could there be a simple alternative? For instance:
"Phalanx - Enemies charging units where all models have this special rule donβt count as having charged for the purpose of special rules, and must roll one die per model in their unit (models with Tough (X) roll X dice instead). For each 1, the charging unit takes one hit, resolved before it can attack". => That option is essentially the same rule except you can make a defense roll to avoid wounds from charging the phalanx. Obviously this makes spears weaker, and the cost would need to be adjusted accordingly (perhaps reducing it by one third?)
"Phalanx - Enemies charging units where all models have this special rule donβt count as having charged for the purpose of special rules, and the defending unit may choose to resolve its attacks before the charging unit". => That option would also depend on the quality of the defending phalanx, so probably the cost should be adjusted and maybe be on par with costs for great weapons / 2 hand weapons.
Ultimately this is a point of detail and I'm just brainstorming it for fun, but I wonder if anyone has thoughts on this?
Edit: The more I think about it, the more I like option 2. It's simple. It also makes it more viable to deal with a phalanx by flanking it with 2 units: after a first unit attacks the phalanx, the phalanx will only score hits on 6s in later fights that round (as per the normal rules for units fighting several times in a round). So the phalanx's efficiency diminishes if it's surrounded. So you can more easily take down a phalanx by attacking it with multiple units. I think that makes a lot of "realistic" sense and opens up coo
... keep reading on reddit β‘Iβm so ass at this game and I mustβve died so many times. Itβs so much harder than dark souls and Bloodborne but Iβm really liking it so far. Just wanted to say how much I love the remake.
With these changes, the Phalanx can actually "tank" like it was designed to, making it a viable class choice.
The only function of the Phalanx is to attract, block and stun/de buff enemies, but because of friendly fire it canβt serve in that role effectively because having a teammate stand in front blocking attacks makes it too easy to hit the person with friendly fire, especially since the game has slight auto aim effects. I think it would be a good idea if the Phalanx had an ability that would negate friendly fire from behind (and the shield should also block FF from the front too) while the shield is up. Otherwise itβs going to remain a mostly useless class.
As someone that started playing at the end of Eternal Engine I don't have many characters properly builded (just Alpha and now Plume) so I'm really enjoying playing several characters that I don't have and thanks to this mode I was able to try Karenina Ember and since I really liked her gameplay I picked her from the S rank construct ticket.
I don't know if will be more event modes like this one but I wish this was a permanent game mode since it's really fun even for new players.
Hi all,
I recently started playing with a [[Rionya, Fire Dancer]] deck. It's been a lot of fun. I recently added [[Mirage Phalanx]] based on a friend's suggestion. He was supposed to be a redundant copy of the commander if/when Rionya can't be in charge. However, we recently had a game where I ended up with both Rionya and Mirage Phalanx in play at the same time. This caused quite a convoluted situation that we'd never anticipated.
On my side of the board:
[[Rionya, Fire Dancer]] + [[Terror of the Peaks]]
I have priority. I play [[Mirage Phalanx]]. ETB trigger -> I soulbond with Terror of the Peaks.
Enter combat. Here's how we resolved things. Please let me know if we did this correctly.
I target Mirage Phalanx with Rionya. I stack the triggers to go in the following order:
-Mirage Phalanx (token) enters play -> triggers Terror of the Peaks -> deals 4 damage to X.
-Mirage Phalanx (token) soulbonds with Rionya.
-Mirage phalanx (original) start of combat triggers -> create copy of Terror of the Peaks -> triggers original Terror of the Peaks -> deals 5 damage to X.
-I now have 2x Terror of the Peaks in play.
-Mirage Phalanx (token) start of combat triggers -> create copy of Rionya -> triggers 2x Terror of the Peaks -> deals 2x 3 damage to X.
-Legend rule applies -> Rionya (token) dies.
-Terror of the Peaks (token) and Mirage Phalanx (token) have haste. So I can attack with them. Either way, they are exiled at end of turn.
How did we do?
I also added a [[Harmonic Prodigy]]. Can't even imagine throwing this guy into the above scenario. I'm sure it'll be good for me in the game, but it'll be a pain to resolve everything.
Thanks in advance!
