Did any of you take the vaccine?
Can people with Pemphigus Vulgaris take covid vaccine ? my mom is taking Gupisone 5mg and Xarelto 20mg
Hello wonderful tribe Anybody have experience with Pempighus Vulgaris - an autoimmune condition manifesting on the skin and treated with prednisone and infusions else fatal? Anybody using the MM protocol to address this. I honestly donβt want my loved one to go another round of prednisone and infusions... thank you
Hi there. First-time poster in this subreddit. Long-story short, my dog has been on 2 mg/kg BID prednisone for about 6 weeks and has typical panting, and polydipsia and polyuria. I'd like to explore alternative immunosuppressants like cyclosporine etc. he had mild case of about 3 mos of localized crusting and alopecia on snout about size of quarter. he has responded well to prednisone. he's on 30 mg now from 40 mg and doing ok. maybe it's best to just taper and see how he does off but if he needs long-term rx i'd prefer to NOT do prednisone.
Main questions: best steroid-alternative? remission and recurrence rate? do i need a dog dermatologist? can general vets manage?
Does anyone think getting Pemphigus Vulgaris can be from something on cars?

So recently my year old cat was diagnosed to have pemphigus(autoimmune), i am scared Has anyone in this community gone through a similar case. Any tips or suggestions will help. It already took 6+ months for VCA vet to figure out what it is. Cat is on steroids(2+ months)now but i am worried if her little liver will be able to handle these doses. There has to be someone whoβs cat has lived a long and happy life with this disease. Please free feel to dm me if necessary. Please share Any sources or experiences here so i can prepare. This cat is my life
Hi everyone,
I recently rehomed a 2 & a half year old domestic shorthair from her previous owners, who could no longer keep her. Sheβs around 8-9lbs.
I brought her to the vet when I first adopted her (in Sept 2020) because I noticed one of her paws was bleeding. She was treated for a secondary infection and steroids. The vet said she likely had mild-moderate PF, which was causing her nail beds to form painful crusts.
Her condition improved after the vet visit, and her nail biting had stopped. Recently, I noticed the crusts forming again and plan to take her in to the vets as soon as they can accommodate us.
What I would like to know:
Iβve only had her for a few months and although I love her, I am a full-time university student and I canβt afford to take care of a chronically ill cat. The biopsy alone is $500.
Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you so much for reading.
