A list of puns related to "Peacemaking"
Trying to find the source for this, as I had an argument with a friend, who stated that the west operates with "good intentions". The usual drivel. Anywho, reading up on a particular issue with the RotC, Chomsky had this to say in his article: https://chomsky.info/199906__/
>On the other hand, if people slaughter each other in Sierra Leone or the Congo, itβs not a humanitarian crisis. As a matter of fact, Clinton just refused to provide the relatively puny sum of $100,000 for a peace-making force in the Republic of the Congo, which might well have averted a huge massacre.
I've been trying to find when this happened, but I can't find anything on it. Closest I happened to find, was some waffling response by Clinton when asked a question during a press conference here: https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/PPP-1999-book1/html/PPP-1999-book1-doc-pg246.htm
Any idea where I can find a source for Chomsky's reference?

#"Operation Peacemaking"
The Asahi Shimbun | Issued September 1st, 2024 - 12:00 | Tokyo, Japan
TOKYO - Following the recent declaration of the New People's Republic, Minister of Domestic Stability and current head of the DSTF Rodrigo Duterte, has announced the beginning of operation "Peacemaking" which if successful will see the end to what is now open rebellion.
With the New People's Republic having established itself in the city of San Fernando - many fear that this could lead into another Marawi scenario which as previously reported has already caused mass flight from the region. Unlike the Abu Sayyaf however, the NPR has yet to take human hostages, however they are making stronger use of the nearby hills in an effort to mask movements around the broader city.
All parties are however aiming for a decisive victory, here in San Fernando. For the NPR - failure to assert themselves as a legitimate force with credibility to self-governance will mean the end of the movement and also the end of any of the remaining major indigenous guerilla forces in the Southern Administrative Zone. Whereas, for Rodrigo Duterte - failure to smash the rebellion will mean the end for his political career and most likely for the careers of his children whom have been put forward as regional governors by the broader National Diet.

To that end, Duterte has ordered in all the stops - not willing to make the mistake of relying on non-official organizations any longer, he has requested the full support of the previously activated JGSDF and JMSDF units including the 11th Escort Flotilla and the 4th, 13th, and 28th divisions. Of particular note is the reemergence of the Filipino dominated "Scout Rangers" and "Marine Reconnaissance Special Operations Group", both of which played crucial roles in the Siege of Marawi.
This will also represent the first major combat-test for Japanese dominated divisions and Taiwanese soldiers alike, who will be working closely with the 28th Division made up of Marawi veterans. Some criticism has been leveled as to Duterte specifically avoiding the deployment of his own personal "pitbull", better known as the 1st Brigade which had gained the n

When I use hiding is does it fast and right away but when I use peacemaking thereβs a 25 second waiting timeout and I would like to know how to make it faster. I have it on ( instrument- useskillpeacemaking-wait for target- target self) Iβm also close to people cause I heard if you donβt it wonβt do anything. I also use razor.. any advice would be great.

If youβre not familiar with the term, peace studies tends to focus on two broad models of post conflict power sharing governance.
Consociationalism - which emphasizes group representation, veto points, and transitioning conflict elites into the post conflict government.
And
Centripitalism - which emphasizes cross community support, compromise, and tries to sideline conflict actors.
After the recent relatively successful consociational success stories in Norther Ireland, in BiH and in Lebanon why did US policy elites so dramatically reverse course in Afghanistan and Iraq?
Put another way, which idiot thought De-Baβathification was a good idea?
So lately things with MIL took an incredibly decent turn. She started to treat my boyfriend and me a lot better. There were no more phone calls, no more nasty things in our mailbox, no more unwanted visiting. She only called once to tell my boyfriend that sheβs sorry and that she doesnβt like the way things are right now. We agreed to meet in a cafeteria and MIL didnβt seem like herself at all. She was being polite, we talked and she even apologized to me for all the troubles she caused in my work. She admitted that she doesnβt understand gay people and she doesnβt understand how can a man want another man but she doesnβt like being away from her son.
Needless to say, we were surprised. We donβt want things to be the way they are now either and weβd like to have no more fights and maintain a normal relationship with her. I do believe that people can change, however, that normally happens over time. The fact that her attitude changed so suddenly, made me feel like something fishy is going on. My boyfriend and me, we talked this over and both came to a conclusion that itβs quite weird. Since she has well demonstrated her ability to lie and deceive before, we decided to give her a chance but still be wary, keep an eye on her and not trust her just yet. She invited us to dinner at her house and we had a pretty cool evening. When we asked her what made her change her mind so suddenly, she answered that my boyfriend is her only son and she doesnβt want to lose her only child, even though she doesnβt understand his lifestyle.
So even though it would be great if everything worked out and we would have no more problems with her, I couldnβt help but feel suspicious. One moment she wishes all kinds of diseases upon us, calls us in every slur imaginable and the next one she treats us almost as if we were human beings. I just thought itβs unusual for someone to change their opinion about something so quickly.
A few days ago was my birthday. We werenβt planning to celebrate, just have a small, home-made dinner and MIL asked if she can come over too. We appreciated that instead of just bursting into our house, she asked first and if weβre going to have a better relationship now, might as well extend that olive branch and show her weβre willing to leave all the offences in the past eventually. She brought me a gift, which surprised me, as I wasnβt expecting anything from her. All three of us sat down and had dinner and then MIL asked to use the bathroom which we all
