Hey guys! First fig tree, rescued the big fella out of a dumpster. Seems to be fruiting and budding just fine, but I don’t know much about taking care of figs. Should I repot him? Is pruning necessary?

I need help pruning my 10 month old Celeste Fig tree. I want it to be more symmetrical. Do I just cut the long ones above a bud spot? I’m new to this... I can’t cut the area where the leaves are on the tall ones and then graft it down lower after cutting out 1-2 feet of stem?

We bought our first house in December & there’s a fig tree in our back yard. I’ve been watching it bud & the leaves open for a couple of weeks. I found this little guy this morning! Pence it’s ripe I’ll come back to ask what kind of fig it is.

Is my fig tree rotting? I bought this from a well known online fruit tree provider. Noticed today that the area where it was cut is turning a little black. Buds are forming though!
How do I start retraining this fig tree into a more upward tree shape? Can I propagate the clippings? Tall woody bits are the remains of it before the freeze killed it down. Happy to have it back. Zone 8a, 30+years old?

Bringing a Fiddle Leaf Fig back to life. All the leaves dried out and fell off about a month ago, but now it's budding at the top. Watering schedule or any other tips to promote growing?

Before pic of a parmesan out of the press with a bunch of fig tree cuttings I'm trying to propagate. Hopefully I can enjoy this parmesan in a year and half with figs from these trees.

Fig tree I planted last fall. It started to grow a few buds before the last frost of the season and can't seem to bounce back in the branches. They've since grown brittle. Is it possible to HELP a dwarf orange tree to grow a bit taller? One of the lower branches on mine is touching the ground, and I heard you can prune out lower foliage and or branches to help it focus on upward growth. True? And would now be a good time to do that...just after budding started?

New homeowner needs help identifying fig variety- I’m in Central PA, an experienced gardener, but moved from the colder part of the Northeast, so figs are new to me. Want to care for it properly, as it’s a beautiful tree. If it’s helpful, didn’t fruit last year, not sure about before that.

just adopted this fiddle leaf fig tree from lowe's and noticed some of this on 1-2 of the leaves. what is this/will it be damaging to the plant?
Common fig tree... growing back from a stick. These were two of the first leaves that popped. Why are they going soft in the middle, but shriveled edge? Other leaves look healthy, and still putting out new growth. reddit.com/gallery/nljn7h
Crosspost from r/gardening where a commenter said to cut it back to one stem for a tree and 3-4 for a bush. Any advice from the fig community? Also, can anyone ID this type of fig tree?
