A list of puns related to "Orders of magnitude (numbers)"
Adoption is an expensive, complicated, and labor intensive process. It is difficult for prospective parents to bring a child into their home, when in reality it should be widely promoted and made easier since itβs such a generous, selfless, and beneficial act.
More abortions=bad. Less abortions=good. This is not up for debate, no matter which side you fall on. No pro choice advocate can point out to the societal benefits of endlessly rising abortion rates, unless theyβre simply advocating for eugenic population control which is inherently immoral.
I personally oppose the government using tax dollars from Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, Christian, and in general pro-life citizens to pay for someoneβs abortion, especially late term abortions with no medical necessity (as much as pro choice individuals want to deny this occurs, it does albeit relatively rare, and is allowable under a growing number of stateβs laws).
However, if some kind of compromise has to be reached in order to lower the total number of abortions performed, I believe making the adoption process significantly cheaper has to be considered.
If more adoptions are happening, desperate women might realize their child is more likely to have a good life with other parents, and maybe sheβll be more likely to save the childβs life and give birth.
Since many pro-choice advocates would like to see tax payer dollars pay for abortions, I ask them, wouldnβt it make sense for the government to spend significantly more money on subsidizing adoption? Wouldnβt it make sense to focus more resources on helping the children that are alive in foster care, thus making the decision to give birth to the child much easier?
The goal for all of us should be to see less abortions. I think this is a way to move the needle. LMK your thoughts, and thank you for reading.

Serious question. Have they not weighed these two costs? Surely building and staffing 200 ICU beds would cost far less than paying unemployment insurance for literally millions of people, no?
Edit: And I'd like to add, I am not suggesting we add 200 beds and call it a day. Why not investigate precisely how many beds we may need, given the susceptibility of the population in any given covid wave, and do that. It could not possibly cost more than the current cost on our society.
Edit: Stipulations - only pre-daemonic or baseline primarchs.
Also, consider affinity with the warp, who has greater control of their powers, who would win in a βmind war style dualβ?
Manifested powers like psy-bolt are less important then being βin touchβ with the warp.
There was a question I wanted to answer. How many tiers of distinct skill are there in SC2? Here's what I mean:
A player at one level of skill CANNOT beat a player at a certain higher level, with 95% certainty. In terms of game knowledge and skill, players more than a level apart are practically playing different games.
You could guess, for example, that there exist 4 levels: a Gold player will beat a bronze player every time, and Diamond will beat a Gold, and a GM will beat a diamond.
But I wanted to have hard numbers on this.
Based on what I learned from u/Excalibur_Z, I came up with an equation to graph win probabilities against the difference in MMR between two players.
What I found was that there are at least 7 of these levels in the 1v1 ladder. That, to me at least, is astounding.
Why is Planck's mass so big when compared to Planck's length or time?
So metrology is a interest of mine and I was looking at units and noticed that both Planck's time and length are really tiny and (if i remember correctly) represent in lower bounds for both concepts. Why is the mass so comparatively larger?
I am scared af... so many earthquakes within these 2 months.. this year turkey(6.8) now jamaica(7.8), Albania(6.4)and so many i can not mention.. whats going on?
