A list of puns related to "Novocaine (film)"
It was heartache by the numb herd.
Read Before Posting/Voting
With each round and battle, you will vote as to which Stands would prevail in a battle against one another under certain conditions. These conditions are:
Location: Smithsonian Museum
Time: 9 am
Weather: Sunny and Dry
Population:Β 310 people inside, 35 outside
Awareness: Aware of User, not Stand or ability
Each user has a chance to make one post explaining how they will win, only speaking on their perspective in the fight. They may only use the information present in their made Stands, and nothing more. Editing stands during the battle is not allowed and being caught will get you disqualified.
They may not debate the topic among each other, whether here or somewhere else. Advertising for oneself to win anywhere is also not allowed.
The readers may ask users questions about the battle and their Stands, to which they may reply, but still must answer in their perspective only. It is advised to ask them some deep and difficult questions about the stand, ability or the conditions and how they manage in them.
Note that whatever is said each round must be consistent to the one before and after. A mod will correct the user should they fail to do so.
If there are any serious questions or concerns about the rules and tournament itself as it's going, message a mod personally and not through comments.
The winner of the round will move on to the next until eventually one is left standing, crowned the winner! Best of luck to everyone!

"Novocaine Requiem"
After Esai meets an unwinnable opponent his stand is shot! The stand splits in half... Revealing a mechanical inner body! Is this Novocaines true form?
Appearance: Now boasting a slimmer more robotic like body, NovoReq is a metallic white, with light pink scattered among the body. While the rest of the body looks similar to a robots its head is much more human like now with a face it is similar in Design to King Crimson's. The body gives off a light smoke/steam like substance that seemingly glows. The stand is now sentient, It has a very calm hateful personality and no longer listens to its user and instead completely acts upon its own whims
Ability: CONTROL The ability can control the aspects of ANYTHING, with out directly altering its core being. There will be multiple examples of what it can and can not do
Can do: Make time stop localized to the user of time stop or completely move it somewhere else
Cant do: Change Time Stop into slowing down time instead
Can do: Change the condition on how Greenday works from descending altitude to something like ascending or giving a set altitude at which it activates
Can't do: Change Greenday to a phenomena or sentient stand
Can do: Make D4C not have to enter crush itself to travel worlds
Can't do: Make D4C jump timelines instead of worlds.
The core being of something is decided upon how it enacts its will on something else.
It automatically knows the aspects and core being of anything and everything it wants
Stats: Str: A (It surpasses every stand imaginable in sheer strength) Spd: A (Star Platinum level) Rng: D (ability is infinite) Pre: A Per: C Dev Pot: A
User: Esai Rodriguez, A latino boy of the age of now 18. He usually appears in a sweater and black jeans. Hes got medium length curly hair. He now follows the lead of his stand, often working beside it to enact a winning plan
I have this big fear of needles, but I've only had them in my arm. I may have to get a novocaine shot in my face soon for some cavities. I've heard that you feel it less than normal needles, is this accurate?
I have a question, hope it can be asked/answered here. When I go to the dentist and they numb me with a novocaine shot, almost immediately my heart starts racing. Like beating out of my chest. It happens every time, it does go away after about 10-15 minutes. Itβs just a very scary feeling. Am I allergic to it? Could it harm my heart or cause a heart attack? It just started recently, like in the last 5 years because I donβt remember feeling that when I was a child...
Appearance: The stand itself is built similar to how giorno is. The stands shoulder has a sort of round look to it with the arms looking normal until its hand that looks similar to a toys (action figure to be exact). Its torso is a bit jagged with its chest having a less human look to it. Its legs look normal all the way down and feet are fine. It wears an executioners hood with a gold trim on the edge and light purple eyes under it that look similar to green days. The rest of its body is white, on its waist it wears something similar to a short skirt that is made of gold spades. In the unlikely event that the hood comes off (it can come off without damage to the user) it presents a face similar to how KC's is minus the epitaph and with an added bonus it has 4 spades spaced around the top of its head as a crown

Ability: "I Can't Change" When Novocaine touches an object the objects current "status" can't change, it can not be broken, and it will keep the same force as before, and its direction won't change Example: Novocaine throws a rock and uses its ability, The rock will go forward only and will not stop, when met with resistance it act normal as if it were a baseball moving 7 miles an hour itd only push the object but if it were similar to a bullet at 550 MPH itd go straight through. The ability can be used on people but when used the person wont change such as their thoughts or what they see. The activation is anything his hand (back or front) touches. (He can choose) The ability if used on a person it won't affect their stand although unless the stand is sentient it wont move and if its used on a stand it wont affect the person but they are still bound by certain stand laws. (Range specifically, damage doesnt transfer as there is no damage being done) In the case of something like someones heart or similar bodily functions, it will stop once reaching a point of expansion to stop it from tearing (This is the only exception of wont stop rule as it is its own counterbalance and would break the no status change rule had it kept expanding and teared)

I'm bored so I felt like using connected songs about trash dentists and traumatized patients to make a story. I hope it's not TOO dark for some people. I could always use a different GHOST song set if requested, and I plan on writing a fic about It's Dark! because it's a godly song.
I just got two cavities filled while 34 weeks pregnant. I've never had problems with anesthetics (lidocaine/novocaine) working before, but today the dentist could not get one of the teeth numb. It hurt so much! It's a tooth I've had work on before without issues so I know it's not the tooth.
Just wondering if anyone else had had the same experience.
Here's a tough one.
Does anybody know the ending speach/chat Jon has at the end of the song.
Can get a few lines out
"You know, all you gotta do is understand" Some others, not the whole thing though.
When I was 8 years old(20F, 235lbs) I had to have my frenulum in the top of my mouth clipped because it was attached or something. I remember that I was given no nitrous oxide, and the dentist was using novocaine to numb me. The dental surgeon hit a nerve above my gums, and cause my entire body to jump up into the air, and they had to do the shot a second time. It was absolutely painful both times. It appears to me that when someone has an electroshock sensation that it just feels like heavy tingles, and this was not the case with me. I can't find anything about my body spazzing out like that, and want to know why it happened. It was a very traumatic experience and even basic dental work gives me major anxiety.
It kind of appeared to be similar to TV shows where the doctor has to bring a patient back to life, and they use the paddles and shout "clear" and the person jumps in the air. I feel like knowing why this happened would ease some of my anxiety about dental procedures. I have no chronic conditions or diagnoses, and I don't take any medication.
Hello, Iβve been doing some research on the local analgesic novocaine and noticed that epinephrine was usually administered alongside. This makes sense to me as epi will bind to alpha adrenergic receptors and cause vasoconstriction and so will lower the bleeding of the operation site but it also mentions that it will prolong the effects of novocaine. Iβm not quite sure as to why this happens and so was wondering if anyone had any input, thank you!
I'm assuming that novocaine is one type of molecule, and probably blocks receptors so they can't reach their action potential to fire signal? Is that true? If so, what is the molecule competing with? Is the numbness just because the neurons can't fire? Are there multiple substances in novocaine?
After some general fillings with a new dentist and the novocaine has worn off, half my tongue has remained partially numb and some muscles weak or clumsy for over almost 2 months now. Dr. Internet says I will recover in full since the nerve damage is from a needle and not severed, which I hope beyond words is true. My question, is this possibly negligence or pure bad luck?
i.e Post-war, not epilogue compliant, not too dreary or evil Harry, focus on rebuilding/rediscovering the wizarding world and/or on Harry deciding what to do now that he is 'free', avoids character bashing.
Anything come to mind?
What's the name of the font used in novocaine?
