Installed all new door slabs last winter in my basement. This summer half of them swelled and wouldn’t close properly. Now that summers over they are all back to normal. Will painting the tops and bottoms definitely keep them from swelling again?

Air blowing noise coming from "Studor mini-vent" in basement. Normal?
I've lived in this house about 2 years now and I heard a new noise today. It was the sound of air rushing (unsure if blowing or sucking) into a "Studor mini-vent" which is near the plumbing rough in. Is this normal or a sign of trouble?
I will say the basement isn't finished so people are not down here very much, so it's possible that it's happened before.
Edit: I'll mention that it made this noise for about 60 seconds, then stopped, then again for about 15-30 seconds. It's quiet now.

Update: The humming sound I posted about earlier wasn't a bug. It was the ORJANIC Cornerstones that are apparently cloned from these vents which make noise.
