A list of puns related to "NFPA 704"
I know that people can just put them on buildings, and are required to, but can I create a fictional character based off of one, or would that cause legal trouble?
If anyone happens to work with the National Fire Protection Association, that would be especially helpful.
Or if you're a lawyer and can tell me if the boundaries of this situation are not protected by copyright, that would also be helpful.
Note: I'm not a chemist or a scientist and I don't claim to be. I discovered this completely accidentally and thought it was a strange coincidence if anything at all.
Hello, my name is Archie and I think I have discovered the powers of the diamonds. Wild and probably completely inaccurate but here's how I think I figured it out:
Recently I was reading the contents of a Gatorade and decided to look some of them up. While reading about them on Wikipedia, I discovered the "NFPA 704." The NFPA 704 is the "standard system to identifying the hazards of materials." As I read I found the format for this system, which looks almost identical to the diamond pattern that represents the four diamonds from Steven Universe. It sounds strange, so here are two links that explain what I mean:
NFPA 704 Diamond: https://guideimg.alibaba.com/images/shop/2015/11/08/13/compliancesigns-vinyl-nfpa-704-label-5-x-3.5-in.-with-nfpa-diamonds-info-4-pack-white_12510013.jpeg

The main difference is that all the colors are directly switched with each other. Red (pink) and white are switched, and blue and yellow are switched. I can't really explain the significance of that, but there may be something going on with that. If anyone has any ideas feel free to share them.
Moving on, the NFPA 704's diamond is color coded with four different colors, all nearly the same as the diamond authority. For the NFPA 704, the color red is to signify the flammability of a material, the color blue to signify health dangers, the color yellow to signify chemical reactivity, and white to show special hazards.
As we know, when blue diamond is upset (which is often) she has the ability to influence the feelings of the gems around her, causing them to cry as well. Blue on the NFPA 704 diamond explains the Level of safe exposure to a material, with a number scale. For example 0 means no possible health hazard, but 1 means the cause of irritation and minimal injury. Now, doesn't blue diamond cause minor irritation to gems exposed to her sadness, causing them to cry?
Yellow on the NFPA 704 system represents the instability/reactivity of the material. This may seem a stretch, but in the Steven Universe Season 2 episode "Message Received" Peridot contacts yellow diamond. We see yellow diamond act calm and collected in the beginning, but then h
... keep reading on reddit β‘As many have pointed out before, the old Diamond Authority logo resembles the NFPA 704 logo with a few slight differences. The obvious differences being the colors and the positions of the colors. However, I think there is more to the logo than just some inspiration for the shape.
If you turn the NFPA 704 logo upside down, you get a logo that is almost exact to the Diamond Authority logo. White on the top, yellow on the left, blue on the right, but red on the bottom. Following up after the events of Stranded, many people began theorizing that Pink Diamond was defective. With her being represented quite small by Stevonnie in the dream sequence, it's understandable that people would come to this conclusion. People have also said that this is just because they have to represent the proper size of Yellow Diamond and having Stevonnie the same size would blow the reveal of Pink Diamond. But what if Pink wasn't supposed to be pink?
Going back to the comparison of the upside-down NFPA 704 logo and the Diamond Authority logo, the only color difference is red. But why would the logo match up perfectly with every color upside down except red? Why change the color if there wasn't a reason?
There is a reason. And it is much more than just changing it for a more appealing color scheme. It is because, not only is Pink Diamond defective, she's literally off-color.
Pink Diamond was not supposed to be Pink, she was supposed to be Red.
But the logo doesn't stop there. If you look at the NFPA 704 logo's symbols, you have W for White, 1 for Blue, 2 for Yellow, and 3 for Red. If Pink was supposed to be Red and people's theories about Pink being the youngest diamond out of all of them, then these symbols could give away the order of which the Diamonds formed.
But what about White? She's the only Diamond not to be name-dropped, and we have not seen any gems belonging to White's court. But what if the gems don't see White Diamond as any other Diamond. What if she's the Diamond? What if she's the gems' Goddess? She doesn't have a number because to the knowledge of all the other gems, she has always existed.
Now if this holds true, that means that Blue must have been created first after White (possibly by White) because she has the number 1. This would also explain her white hair, symbolizing how she is the eldest of the Diamonds after White. Yellow having 2 makes her younger. And Pink having 3 makes her the youngest.
TL;DR: The NFPA 704 gives hints that Pink Diamond i

Go post NSFW jokes somewhere else. If I can't tell my kids this joke, then it is not a DAD JOKE.
If you feel it's appropriate to share NSFW jokes with your kids, that's on you. But a real, true dad joke should work for anyone's kid.
Mods... If you exist... Please, stop this madness. Rule #6 should simply not allow NSFW or (wtf) NSFL tags. Also, remember that MINORS browse this subreddit too? Why put that in rule #6, then allow NSFW???
Please consider changing rule #6. I love this sub, but the recent influx of NSFW tagged posts that get all the upvotes, just seem wrong when there are good solid DAD jokes being overlooked because of them.
Thank you,
A Dad.

Keep in mind, my son is 4 years old, so everything is an original to him.
I had to work late into the evening yesterday, and he was just going to bed when I got home. I had left home for the office nearly 14 hours prior, had a long day, lots of meetings, traffic, etc.
When I walked through the door, I was exhausted, run down, and starving. My wife hugged me and asked how my day was, and I replied, "Done. It was a good day, but has got me exhausted. I just want to grab a bite and go to bed. I'm hungry."
From my son's bedroom, I hear him shout, "Hi Hungry! Nice to meet you!"
Not only did it make me laugh, but I completely forgot about how hungry and tired I was. I went to his bedroom, and we laughed together about it. It was exactly what I needed.
Edit: Thanks for all the awards, kind strangers! I'll let my son know y'all enjoyed his joke too!
I heard parents named their children lance a lot.
First post please don't kill me
Edit: i went to sleep and now my inbox is dead, thank you kind strangers for the awards!
