A list of puns related to "NEMA enclosure types"
I currently have a Tesla model 3 and in the process of moving to a home that does not have a charger for my car. I was debating whether to install the Tesla Wall Connector or have an outdoor rated Nema 14-50 Enclosure installed near the car's driveway and use the included Tesla mobile connector to charge my car. Does anyone have insight as to what are the pro's and con's in regards to one option versus the other ? In terms of factors such as convenience, cost etc. Would like to hear about people's experiences with these type of installations.
Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone has come across a good source for affordable nema enclosures in their searches? Its quickly looking like one of the more expensive parts of an outdoor setup.
NEMA 6-50 or NEMA 14-50?
I'm looking at the Grizzle E level 2 chargers (yay Canada made) and would need to install a 220 port for it. So I get to choose. Is there an advantage either way?
Edit: 14-50 for the win. See my OP comment below.
Is anyone running a NEMA enclosure with Ubiquiti switches inside? I'm seeing a lot of posts around WAPs being placed outside, but I actually want to run a switch in my backyard to run POE and data to some cameras and an additional AP and maybe other data links as needed. I have been trying to decide how to get some data around my house and was all set on pulling the trigger on running CAT 5 or 6 through the house back to a switch in the garage, but then I realized I have coax everywhere and already running MoCA. Since I have a unused coax run to my back porch I was planning on running another MoCA adapter back there, and then a POE capable switch and then connecting my POE cameras to that and an additional AP as needed.
I switched from the EdgeMax line to Unify a couple years back so I have some left over ToughSwitch 8s laying around that I was considering using, but not sure if the throughput issue ever got resolved which pushed me to the Unify side anyway. So buying a new switch isn't an issue.
Anyway, so I'm considering a NEMA enclosure in the backyard and putting the MoCA adapter and switch inside, and then running some conduit from there to the cameras in the back, and then a AP. I have power back there already, so that's not an issue. I am worried about heat since I'm in San Diego East County which can push over 110 F in the summer at times with mild humidity. This would be in the shade, though. Not sure if regular venting is ok, or need to have a fan, etc. I've never worked with outdoor equipment.
Thanks!
Hey everyone! Apologies if that seemed like a weird question, I had just remembered a video that mentioned how some wood is toxic to snakes.
I am, admittedly, a bit out of my element here when it comes to snakes and someone has asked me to make them an enclosure for their baby ball python. Figured I should probably check with you guys before I started anything!
If you can think of any other advice I should keep in mind or know beforehand please let me know! Thanks.
Hey all, I'm looking for some suggestions regarding a suitable playpen that I can pick up for my floof that will allow him to have more room to run around/play than his cage, but won't require as much supervision as letting him have free range around the house to make sure he doesn't get stuck or get anywhere he shouldn't be that may be dangerous. I picked up a "small dog" enclosure at a local outlet store, but it seems a bit small for him and he doesn't like it that much even with his favorite toys in there with him. It measures 26" x 26" x 18". So yeah, just looking for some advice or some info about what others have done regarding a playpen.
I would like to get a large piece of wood for my girl's tank, but I'm having trouble finding what types are best and won't mold. Any suggestions?

I want to add some rocks to my hamsters enclosure to help trim down their nails, just wondering if it needs to be a specific type. Thanks.
Managed to salvage the internal SSD of my old A1466 MacBook Air, but upon comparison to other SSDs, it seems a bit long in length. Would a regular nvme m.2 enclosure work if I wanna turn this into an external storage?
Model on the SSD is 128GB KITSS 655-1756A.
Hello electricians! I work for a company that makes energy monitoring devices. We know a lot about our product, but not a lot about electrical code. Our device connects directly to a standard 110VAC/15A breaker. It has a terminal block connector. We're trying to ALSO run a DIN rail receptacle in the same NEMA enclosure (like this. Basically, how do we legally 'split' or tap into the live, neutral, and ground lines so they go to our product and also to the receptacle? Do we use a distribution block, Y connector, wire nuts, etc? Thanks for the help!
A zoocchini.
