Now I've read plenty that the muzzle brake doesn't add much to the firing performance of a .45ACP 1911. But... it does make it look ridiculously sexy, am I right? Next up will be a mainspring housing w/ a magwell and an extended slide release.

Flash hider VS muzzle brake.
I know there is a big debate around what is a flash hider VS break and how to distinguish the two. My question is this, does anyone know how NJ classified the difference between a FH and Brake? I understand the functional difference, but they often look a lot alike and some manufacturers call a FH what another would call a brake. So how does the law categorize the two? Are there characteristics that it must meet to be a brake?
Compensatory Va Muzzle Brake (Recoil Reduction)
I used both the muzzle brake and the compensatory and it seems they make the recoil worse. I also noticed the heavy barrel reduces recoil, but I wanna know if anything else would do the same. Both the muzzle brake and compensatory seems to add that penalty which doesn't make any sense.
