Someone may have already pointed this out but when Kyle and Michael performed Starcourt, instead of playing the soundtrack version, they slowed it way down and I realized it was actually the same song from Hopper's letter to Eleven in the finale. So the score at the end when everyone is saying goodbye is just a slower version of Starcourt. Blew my mind!
I posted here because I’d like peoples opinions on his music personally I think it’s pretty good. Nice, chill and easy to listen to although it’s not totally unique as other stuff out right now. But for the most part I quite like his stuff imo and looking forward to where he’s gonna go music wise.
I highly recommend checking out Survive (stylized as S U R V I V E). They’re the same guys (Michael Stein and Kyle Dixon) that do the soundtrack for the show, and were tapped to do the soundtrack starting with Season 1. You know the sound already: retro synths, plodding bass, and early electronic music splashes. Only difference is that the sound is in a more consumable song structure unlike a soundtrack. Their latest album dropped in 2018 and is titled RR7400:LA041717.

I am enjoying the score, seems like Netflix found a music style they like.
While the soundtrack is amazing, especially the theme and Eulogy (it's a Netflix Original after all), the 80s music introduced is also stellar.

I'm not sure if this is 100% relevant but I know a lot of you use serum so I thought I'd share the video!
I've been producing music for a couple of years and for a while now I've thought of starting a youtube channel so that I can pass on my knowledge and tips to others. I've been super nervous to start the channel but it feels good to know that it's finally out there and I'm starting my journey in helping others.
I've tried to tie in education entertainment so that the tutorial isn't a complete drag to watch. The presets for all the synths are available to download for free in the description.
