As far as I've seen in the current vaccination rollout, young people are getting AstraZeneca while older people are getting Pfizer/Moderna vaccines. I don't understand why this is the case here in Berlin and also in Germany while most of the recent studies suggest doing vice versa because of very rare blood clots. I can't find proper resources explaining the reasoning behind this strategy since my German is not good enough to properly research. I would really appreciate it if somebody could share some resources or insights that could help me understand a little more.
