So I am rewatching the scenes of her preparing because something didn't sit right with me the first time I watched... This is a really minor thing but I have time on my hands lol.
It's the final fitting the evening before the event. Kim is expressing to Jean-Baptise Mondino and other people around that she can't pee in the corset/gown.First mondino suggests wearing a diaper (as a joke I guess? Clearly he knows it wouldn't fit anywhere lol).
Then Kim expresses how every little piece of the corset is itchy on the inside, like a cactus, "just to show what a G I am". Tells Food Good and other people around about what she is willing to go through. One of the designers responds "It's not about comfort, it's about confidence". Yeah no shit? Kim clearly knows that since she's the one who has been fitted into this insane corset for hours on end, she just wants a little credit for putting herself through this for the look, being in discomfort, not really able to breathe, not being able to pee for the look. How about some compassion and empathy. The male designers are so dismissive to her for just expressing that she is in discomfort.
(Not gonna get into Kanye giving her shit as well, not the point of this post. It's very clear in the ep that they are not compatible anymore in general, at least within the narrative of the show).
So the day arrives, Kim is anxious and excited. They're getting Kim ready, and she says "But you guys I have to pee, what do I do?" The male designers immediately say "It's in your brain, you dont really have to go" which I guess could be true since appearantly she went 3 times but idk just the immediate dismissal got to me. They tell her it's in her head, she goes along with it.She also says while getting fitted that she just felt a rib move, no reaction whatsoever. No acknowledgement, nothing. She quietly murmurs "its okay" to herself.
Now comes the main reason I am making this post in the first place:
Kim says "Let's say another prayer together" and one of the male assistants goes: "Dear God, [...] protect her so that she walks beautifully, she photographs beautifully around each and every angle." Kim chimes in: "That I can breathe, that I won't have to pee." He responds: "That she could breathe and she will hold her piss in. Amen." What? Hold her piss in? And Kim just responds "A-men" like what he just said was right and not completely derogatory and disgusting. I would've been so offended. Hold her piss in? Is she a farm animal

This has probably been talked about a lot but I just want to share my thoughts.
I’m on Kim’s side obviously, Kanye’s argument makes no sense to me. He says and I quote...
“Like the corset, the underwear, all of that vibe...I just feel like...I just went through this transition where from being a rapper and looking at all these girls and looking at my wife...like ‘Oh my girl needs to be just like the other girls, showing her body off, showing this showing that, and I don’t realize that that was affecting like my soul and my spirit as someone’s who’s married and loved and the father of like now about to be four kids?” A corset is a form of underwear it’s, like, it’s hot for who though?”
“You are my wife and it reacts me when pictures are too sexy”
and Kim literally says what I’m thinking: “You built me up to be this sexy person and all this confidence and all this stuff. Just because you’re on your journey doesn’t mean I’m with you.”
Kim has always been a person, from what we’ve seen anyway, that was comfortable in her sexuality. Isn’t that what drew him to her in the first place as well? And what Kim said about being on different journeys was definitely a factor in the divorce. Around this time Kanye was already in his religious journey and was changing his values a tad. When their argument first came out, I saw people say “he knew who he married” “He married a woman who’s known for a leaked sex tape.”
Kim had every right to tell Kanye off. Kanye has literally bragged about fucking his wife (and her sisters 🙄) in his songs, has literally “introduced” Kim as his sexy girlfriend/wife and used her as a model for yeezy. You can’t be mad when your wife, known for being in tune with her sexuality, wants to wear something to he likely at an event. Not only was that misogynistic, but it didn’t make sense. He even used other women being inspired by Kim (or the other way around?) to dress less modestly 🙄.
Anyway, his argument was stupid and didn’t make sense.

I just saw that episode of her on KUWTK. It’s kind of obvious they look down on her and are aware she’s not really a “real” celebrity. But it seems like she’s here to stay, she seems to be trying to become a part of mainstream celebrity culture (pap walks and talk shows). Do y’all think she’s going to be invited to the Met Gala this year (along with the over 18 internet kids?)

For some reason I can imagine kourtney at the met but not Khloe, she has a very casual style compared to the rest.

I know no one here cares about the kardashians but hey, specific opinions tend to be less common here so there you go. That thing was effing ugly, I don’t care if a designer made it and maternity wear deserves better representation.
