A list of puns related to "Maypole in the Strand"
After walking through the woods, Brad pushes through the underbrush that lines the perimeter of the clearing. He steps into the tall grass and looks up to see the maypole. It's standing in the middle of the circular glade in the trees, the old tattered streamers floating as if underwater. Then he spots a figure on the opposite side of the clearing.
It's just standing there looking at him. Brad takes a hesitant step forward and the figure does the same. It's the same height as him and looks to be a similar build. But the light is all wrong. The face is dark, the hair and eyes and unnatural white. The space around the figure is dark and the colors strange. The figure appears as a living negative.
Brad disturbs the silence and calls out "Hello!" So does the figure. Brad immediately cups his hands to his ears. The voice that emanated from the figure is like nothing Brad has ever heard before. The word "Hello!" was formed from two modulated silences. And the moments before and after the word were somehow filled with pure, ear-shattering noise.
Brad quickly takes two steps back and so does the figure. Curiosity outweighs the terror and Brad begins to slowly walk toward the maypole. He steps to the left and the figure matches him. It copies each movement precisely until they stand face to face. They examine each other, casting mirrored gazes around the maypole. "What are..." Brad grabs his ears again to block the piercing sound.
No more of that, Brad thinks to himself.
Brad almost decides to turn around and leave, but then he reaches out a hand and two pointer fingers touch.
The silence around him vanishes and is replaced by the undamped, rending noise. He wants to reach his hands up, to block the sound, but is unable to. He's frozen in place, staring and the inverse man. The figure smiles a large black-toothed grin and Brad can feel his face forming the same grin.
The figure begins to laugh a huge, hearty laugh and Brad laughs with him. The inverted sound from Brad's laugh gives him a brief respite from the noise. The figure raises both hands toward Brad and they press their palms together. Still laughing, they both to skip and dance manically around the maypole. Obvious mirth in the face of the one and inexpressible terror hidden in the mask of the other.
The dancing winds down, but the smile remains plastered on both faces. The figure turns around to head back towards the woods and Brad feels himself do the same. As Brad involuntary walks back

He doesn't like it, but he accepts my period commentary.
This article is very interesting, and I believe it provides some great insight into Midsommar as a whole (whether or not youβve read the script, itβs a good read.)

We have a strange sort of situation we're faced with in the world of the audience of The Blacklist. We have a show we're watching and certain things are shown to us on the screen, or narrated by characters on the screen. Then we have the show runners giving copious interviews at certain stages, and lastly we have folks on this subreddit (and other sites but I don't go to those, so I can't speak to them) with their own theories, that in some cases don't agree with either the show runners or what's shown on the screen. There seems to be a certain conflict between those three things, and I thought it would be interesting to see how this thing looks like if we leave out the audience contribution and look at the other two, and what they contribute to the story. I understand that there is a slice of the audience that summarily dismisses anything Bokenkamp has to say, and I know there's a slice of the audience that believes that the show is chock-a-block full of misdirections and red herrings and falsities and such. And I recognize some of those two sentiments. But for the purpose of argument, let's just consider something Eisendrath said in one of the recent interviews at https://variety.com/2019/tv/features/the-blacklist-season-6-finale-interview-red-katarina-1203218930/
>> Eisendrath ........The fun of the guessing game that the audience has is hopefully made more fun if we just tell the story the best possible way that we can. We donβt try to alter it and throw them off or to try and lead them on.
This was in response to whether they went online and read fan posts, and Bokenkamp added
>>Bokenkamp: But that doesnβt mean itβs not fun to go online to see if weβve pulled off the trick.
So let's assume for the moment that what Eisendrath is saying is that they are doing their best to tell a straight story and they don't try and throw people off and lead them on and Bokenkamp's comment reflects that he does go online to see if they've pulled off the trick (as in whether the folks online believe that these guys are not "try[ing] to alter it and throw them off or to try and lead them on." If that is true here's what we have:
This post is a Plea to All of Kojimadom to connect! We are trying to make a full Strand Contract web we are calling Bridges 3. We want to see if there are any "Nuclear Disarmament" style hidden endings or undiscovered strand game mechanics in #DeathStranding. Help us find out! Let's connect! #TomorrowIsInYourHands
This video explains how we can do this: https://youtu.be/XXLSN2w1-8M
From the very beginning I saw the black strands in the sky and I always accosiated them with BT's because they were always grouped in BT areas. It wasn't until I died for the first time in the snowy mountains due to a bad judgement on a cliff and saw my own strand. I saw mine and was like "OOOOHHHHH theyre other dead players and theyre usually in BT areas because those are where people die the most OOOOHHHH". Thought I'd share my realisation.
I look forward to joining you all at somepoint in the future and connect together we can rebuild the world. I hope you prevail on your path and leave those of us who will be late a golden path for us to embark on making our journey through this unforgiving world easier.
