A list of puns related to "Mastic (plant resin)"
They are 405nm so I think they should work?
Thanks!
Hi, brand new to printing and ended up deciding on Elegoo Mars 3, and got the [plant based Resin in Grey](https://www.amazon.com/ELEGOO-Printer-Plant-Based-Precision-Printing/dp/B083Z3538Q/ref=mp_s_a_1_10?crid=2Y4S50ABKQICH&keywords=elegoo+resin&qid=1638755645&sprefix=eleg%2Caps%2C195&sr=8-10)
I was wondering if there are any suggestions for optimizing the print settings to work best for the plant based resin, or does it really matter?
Resin Printing Noob Here-
Just got a Halot One for my birthday- I'm planning on printing TTRPG miniatures. I also want to be eco friendly. In my early research the only biodegradable resin I have found is the AnyCubic 3d printer resin.
Thank you in advance for your help!
I just bought an Elegoo Saturn and have a ton of the anycubic plant based resin that I've been using on my elegoo mars BUT, I cant figure out the saturn settings for it. ... for all the different colors... Help me PLEEEEASEEEEE! Thanks
Why are they not able to pick up resin from Store?
As the picture shows, my storage is almost brim full with Resin, but the chemical plants can't pick it up? I did even destroy all of them, and rebuild them so they pick up all together, but still, Resin goes missing and needs to be picked up extra ...
why? Edit:
Quartz sand was low, but for some reason, they always struggled with Resin, ... after fixing the quarzt sand supply, picking up resin was no issue at all.
So I'm looking to be more eco-friendly with my printing, and have heard that the eco resin that anycubic offers can apparently be composted. Naturally I'm a little cautious about this given that it's only 45% soy - does anyone have any experience using this resin? Is it actually compostable, or is it just shitty marketing from Anycubic?
I cannot get good bed adhesion with this stuff. I was doing great with eSun grey bio resin but I really want to work more with this anycubic clear. I've bought 6 litres of the stuff.
I'm finding the parts that do adhere to the plate come out great. I even made some lego-like pieces with very snug cylinders fitting exactly into holes of the same diameter so my exposure levels are perfect for this material. I'm just not getting consistent adhesion.
I considered that it's a bed level issue but it's not like the parts that aren't sticking are specifically coming off one side. They seem completely random... although larger pieces with larger surface area rafts do seem more likely to stay on than smaller pieces with smaller rafts. :S
I'm doing 6 bottom layers with 40 second exposure for those on my Mars 2.
Any advice?
Edited to add the below images.
On my first attempt at this print I heated up the plate with a hairdryer but the resin was cold. In the second one I warmed up the resin a bit but forgot to warm up the plate.
First attempt the big star printed perfectly but random smaller pieces didn't stick. Second attempt everything but the big star stuck and printed perfectly but the star didn't stick.

Hi,
I run into some information on ANYCUBIC Plant-Based Resin. But I would like to know how safe it really is and if I can print it indoors during the winter without requiring tons of ventilation. I can deal with the smell but I am more worried about its toxicity. Do you guys have any experienced with it. My printer is a Anycubic Photon.
Iβm getting tired of cordoning off parts of the house for typical toxic resin prints. Can I just throw it in my living room with plant based?
IF the sweet, sweet trichome-produced resin we all love really is for UV protection and deterring would-be herbivores (are their others believed purposes out there? Does it help grab pollen out of the wind?), wouldn't male plants also benefit from its protection? Why do females produce so much more? Is it because their reproductive organs are just hanging out there and particularly sensitive to the destructive forces of nature?
Hey all! New homebrewer here and on my 3rd BIAB batch in two months. I'm so addicted to it that I'm giving beers away to friends and family for a faster turnover.
So, this weekend I was thinking of brewing a wheat beer but with a huge twist. I believe the taste and aroma of wheat beer matches perfectly that of mastic resin. For anyone not familiar with mastic here's the wiki link.
The question is, has anyone experimented with mastic resin before? Or any experience with resin or flavor drops in general? Should I add it during mash or maybe secondary? What would you do?
Thank you!
