A list of puns related to "MasterChef Canada (season 6)"
I follow all versions of Masterchef but I was totally taken off guard by this years finalists Andre and Jennifer in MC Canada Season 6. MC Canada usually has cooks repeating mostly similar type of cuisines but Jennifer I have to say is one of best winners ever.
Her plating, ideas and techniques felt like a professional Michelin Chef who wanted to tell a story through their food. I highly recommend everyone to see at least the final when she elevated childhood delicacies into great dishes.
who's the best chefs from masterchef all seasons? top 10-20 ranking? Eric, thea, line, jeremy, mai, beccy?
I want like top 4 of every season included in the list.
Hi everyone
Would anyone happen to have any links to past seasons of the show?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers!
sorry i couldn't include season 7 (the max no. of options allowed for a reddit poll is 6)
but if you preferred season 7 just say it in the comments! (my favourite is season 7 too) :)
Technically , we can assume homecooks to be on par with each other on skill levels ... no matter the demographic. Then why do People from Masterchef canada and US struggle to make simple medium rare steaks, mille feuille, and fruit tarts whereas their Australian counterparts cook up a storm every single time?
If there was an 8th season with all winners.....how do you think all of the winners would place?
Hi, I'm from Canada and I really love to watch Masterchef Australia. I wonder how to watch Masterchef Au in Canada? Have anyone in Canada watched full episodes or seasons yet?
Was not a fan of Jeremy because of his issues with teamwork but was resigned to the fact that he would probably be a finalist.
Did not watch Season 6 but I was very impressed by Andre in episode one and thought he would be a finalist too.
Love Thea in season 4 (no issues with her tears, felt that she just lacked confidence but she planned her dishes really well in the finale). Thought she would face issues handling the pressure. But she handled the pressure surprisingly well, except for the episode where she had a panic attack (everyone struggles with pressure differently).
Did not expect Andrew to make it to top 4 when I saw that he was competing but was impressed by his growth in this culinary skills and his personality.
Did not expect Andy to beat Mai during the dessert challenge.
I would like to caveat that I thought every elimination was justified as you are only as good as your last dish.
I loved watching Andy cook, and Chris was always the favourite for me, but it's a bit of an 'OOF' moment for me, when you have 2 previous finalists in the current finale and they still aren't able to cinch that win.
With that being said, I'm a little biased because I was cheering for Chris anyways so I'm very happy he won, but my brain immediately went yikes
Hey! No meanness meant here whatsoever but any other viewers remember how completely different Thea looked in her original season compared to the current season? Sheβs almost unrecognizable! The lips especially have grown exponentially...
I'll begin by saying that I agree with all the selected contestants for season 7. And I believe that the criteria for being a part of this season generally included being a fan favourite (to a certain degree), have a current career in the culinary world or at least a focus or job on the side that involved food. Which would rule out a fair amount of people who have either returned to their previous professions or moved on to other obligations like family life.
But let's say that these criteria didn't apply, who else would you've liked to see return?
Here's my alternate universe Top 12:
Tammara and Mike from season 1
Sabrina and Michael from season 2
Matthew and Terry from season 3
Aaron and Matt from season 4
Eugene from season 5
Josh, Cryssi and Rozin from season 6
The most inconsistent out of the bunch.
This was very difficult for me to rank which one is better because I think all of them are great. All of them were consistent. Trevor I recall did not win as many individual challenges as the other two but that's because he was in a very talented season. Aaron, Barrie, Mai, and Miranda were all the frontrunners of the season as well as Trevor.
Jennifer is one of the most creative home cook to ever appear on MasterChef. Jennifer was also consistent and probably the first champion to never place in the bottom of a challenge.
Like Shaun, David had one of the most dominate runs in the history of the show. Many individual wins, and a excellent finale.
I want to say all the Canadian winners are at least good. If I have to compare them with the USA winners, Eric is better than Jennifer from season 2 for sure. Mary, Becky, and Trevor are on Dino's caliber. I would put Jennifer in between Courtney and Shaun. David and Shaun are equal in skill imo.So yes, Shaun and David Jorge are the best two winners of the English speaking North American seasons.I haven't seen the Australian or U.K. seasons, but I would like to think Shaun and David are just as good as the best of those seasons as well. I could be wrong. Please tell me how you feel.
Can someone please help me, how can I watch Masterchef Australia from Canada? Any link even if it's a paid subscription that's okay. I really want to watch it from S1. Thank you in advance.
I've watched all seasons of Masterchef Canada, US and US junior on dailymotion through the past few years, and really enjoyed them. Unfortunately, no episodes of masterchef AU is uploaded on there and I was wondering if there was a goldmine somewhere where I could peacefully watch past (or current) seasons.
Also, the format (multiple episodes per week) is quite different from the other masterchef shows I've watched (only one ~45min episode per week). So my second question is: is every episode of the week worth watching? If I watch everything, how much time will it take me per week, with all the episodes for that week?
Thank you all! Hope to be able to begin my masterchef AU journey soon!
Hi, I started watching Masterchef canada S7, and I don't know anything about their original seasons. Looking forward to any responses!
SPOILER That was sad, I think Barrie really wasn't meant to win this time. I can't believe he got eliminated again...so according to Barrie, it's going to be Jeremy winning this season and I have a good feeling he's going to be right. Hoping to see either Andre or Jeremy in the finale this season!
Unfortunately I am not a Canadian so I can't watch it live. I want to watch the newest season as quick as possible to not get spoiled but I don't know any trustworthy sites.
Guys the new season of masterchef Canada announced the returning contestants!!! Who do you think will be really good?
I feel Andy, Barrie and Christopher will be top players with Andre leading.
What do y'all think???
Itβs nice that they had this idea. Itβs a little sad that they have to do just one challenge per episode and thereβs always an elimination.
Episode 1- really great idea. I just wish they chose other worst dishes for others. Andrew literally just got an egg which wasnβt even that bad. Marissa got a tag-team platter. Thea even had a finale dish, which btw I donβt think she elevated at all.
Iβm confused on why Dora was eliminated. Yes she did make a sandwich which may seem safe. She still had many other components. Nothing really negative other than βI wish you made your own bread.β
I donβt really also get how Thea wasnβt in the bottom. She literally just serve sauce and dry chicken.
It should have been Thea vs marissa as the bottom2. I guess Dora was just a sacrificial elimination.
I just saw this on Tammy's insta! Anyone know what happened?
It makes absolutely no fucking sense for Claudia to win Masterchef. There is simply no logic to it whatsoever. The entire season she just stuck with mexican cooking. Isn't this show meant to be about you being a MASTER CHEF? AKA versatile everywhere - not one category in particular?
Derrick absolutely nailed his dishes throughout the entire season and he killed it in the finale - his dishes were perfect! I would also be willing to argue that Stephen shouldn't have lost either and let's not forget those top 10 (30 total) chefs from each co-host giving 50% of their votes for Derrick when the 3 were competing. I mean cmon...
How would you rank Christopher with the other MC champions ? I think he is at least as good as David from MC Canada 2 and Shaun from MC USA 7. His highs were really good and his only nomination was bs.
In my personal opinion, I honestly think the challenge was a bit unfair, for 2 reasons. (the challenge being recreating your worst dish from your previous season)
First of all, some of the dishes are from more freestyle challenges, where some are from more specific ones. So for some people, they could be cooking from a challenge that features some of their worst skills, where others (i.e Andy with his lobster) could be working with strong suits that they just didn't execute right the first time.
Second, the ingredients. Some people like Marissa had full on meals with lots and lots of components they had to use in the recreation, and then one guy had a singular egg. Jeremy had to come up with a dish for crawfish, he had to come up with a dish with eggs. Marissa had lots of components and ingredients she had to use, he had just one.
This might be just me thinking like this, lmk below :)
Alright so on Theas Instagram story today, she mentioned how all the filming took place last summer but a few weeks ago, Christopher mentioned ppl wishing him luck as he goes in to cook for the next challenge before the episode with top 5 was released. I could be wrong about Christopher (someone else who follows his insta can correct me) but does this mean the competitors already know who's the next masterchef??? Or do they not know because they film a few weeks ahead of time. Did Thea mean that they started filming in the summer of last year or did they finish all filming last summer?
they didn't put it out on wikipedia...
