A list of puns related to "Marlboro Man"
An acquaintance was wearing some really good-looking boots yesterday. I asked an he said they were Dan Post (I already have 1 pair of DP) "Marlboro Mans" and he bought them online.
Looking around today, it looks like they were only made in the 80's and that there's nowhere to buy them new. Can anyone confirm this or recommend a trustworthy site for buying a pair (size 10/9.5 depending on the shoe).
Thanks!

Before the fight: The King has to eat a Burger King Whopper once a day, every day for a year. The Marlboro Man has to smoke two Marlboros a day, every day for a year.
The King has all abilities shown in his ads, including gokart driving, partying, and acting creepy. He has a bag of greasy Burger King food that will give you indigestion. Marlboro Man gets his horse, lasso, lighter, a pack of Marlboro Red cigarettes that will make you cough, and outdoors instincts.
Marlboro Man was never portrayed with guns so he does not get one.
If Marlboro Man can convince the King to smoke a Marlboro, he wins. If the King can convince Marlboro Man to eat Burger King, he wins. Otherwise it is a deathmatch. Not bloodlusted but one party has to win.

Ford has a strong brand with the good ole southern boys that drive big ass trucks and think Priuses are for pussies. Once Ford gives them an electric truck that is still enough to compensate for their tiny wieners and is cheaper than combustion engine (which is a certainty across all EVs) itβs over.
Also saw an interview with the new CEO a while ago on Freakonomics where he said heβs changing Ford to be more like a tech company which resonated with me. Bought calls a while ago and sold at a small profit since I didnβt know the way yet. But going back in purely based on betting they will crush on electric trucks given their brand.
Having watched Keanu Reeves as a kid from Bill and Ted to the Matrix and A Scanner Darkly, I was a big fan growing up. And publicly he seems like a pretty good person. As more school shootings occurred and the nation started to deal with guns in our society, I couldn't help but think about the people who have helped market and glorify these deadly weapons. Keanu came to mind first...
I believe one of the John Wick's was being marketed at the time, which jogged my Keanu memory. Specifically, I remembered reading an article about how most of the guns in the Matrix series, were all available to buy at gun stores. They weren't specialty or one off guns, but product placements like you'd see some Frosted Flakes on a family TV show. The image of the all powerful individual, fixing society mostly through his firearms skills, has influenced millions of youth...And Adults. In my opinion, it has helped plant the seeds of gun violence, combined with poverty and a failing U.S. socioeconomic structure.
I shoot guns, and support responsible ownership. But guy's like Keanu aren't teaching gun safety and hunting lessons. They are selling manufactured masculinity, One in which a man is armed to the teeth and drenched in military apparel. All for "good," and convenient purchase. These people have made vast fortunes on this glorification of violence, knowing it sells during times of strife. It has cost many, including children their lives.
