A list of puns related to "Madeleine (name)"
Working on our second baby. I have a name picked out if it is a girl (Eloise), but honestly at a lost for boy names. We have a girl Madeleine. Looking for suggestions for a good male sibling name. We tend to like more old fashioned, french, or biblical names. Thanks!
So my husband and I are expecting a baby girl in September. We have settled on Madeleine for a first name and are leaning towards βEllieβ as a nickname (due to the proliferation of βMaddiesβ from Madison, Madel(e)ine, Madelyn, etc).
I didnβt take my husbandβs last name so we are actually planning on two middle names (a traditional middle name and then my last name): Madeleine MiddleName MyLastName HusbandLastName. My last name is a two syllable name starting with P and husbandβs is two syllable starting with S. I think something short for the first middle name would be best, but am open to other suggestions.
Inspired by the LM Montgomery post from a couple months ago. LβEngle was definitely a name nerd and I think about her (at times unbelievable) choices on a pretty regular basis. She went all-out in A Live Coal in the Sea with Camilla, Rafferty, Raffi, Thessaly and Artaxias.

Hi there!
Long timer lurker, I was wondering what you guys would think of the name Madeleine James?
Weβre having a little girl in February and weβre very excited. The name is an homage to many family members, hereβs the list:
Madeleine is my mother-in-lawβs middle name
James is my father, my brother-in-law, and my grandfatherβs name.
The potential nickname MJ is our good friendβs nickname as well as my husbandβs law partnerβs nickname
And finally the nickname Maddie is my mother in lawβs nickname for my husband (his is Mattie.)
I understand James may be a little controversial for a girlβs name. But Iβm excited for her ability to publish under the name M. James D** if she wants to.
Edit: This has really made my day, thank you! I know exactly what name to choose!
She is easily one of the nicely written characters in the Craig Era. She is strong when she needs to be but feminine when she is under Bond's charms, she is the perfect mix of strong and gentleness. Through Spectre and No Time To Die her character embodies these qualities.
Her notable feats of shooting Mr. Hinx and getting bitch slapped by him knocking her out, through her ability to shoot down Safin but run away like a little child once he awakens when she was young, and saving Bond from a motorcyclist goon in NTTD which absolutely felt badass for some reason. She just doesn't feel forced or overpowered for a political agenda, just a very well-written character.
Apart from that, I also like her very secretive nature, though they are considered red flags in real life. It goes to show how her childhood filled with deceit and lies affected her adulthood because of Mr. White, she keeps lies to Bond and it came to backfire on her. Her deceitfulness of keeping lies is rooted from her childhood, but James Bond ignores red flags like a brick through a plate-glass window.
I think I had a favourite artist or author as a kid with watercolour illustrations and the artist or author was named something similar to Madeleine Albright. Ring any bells at all?
Long story short, I was with some friends recently in Adeje, Tenerife and we were talking about things when I say her name kind of out loud. I noticed some people around me started staring and some of them were totally silenced when I said her name. I didn't know it was a big deal at random resorts. Is this a common thing?
So Iβve just finished season 2, and I was thinking about madeleine.
Does anyone else feel like by the end of season 2, she comes across far less sophisticated than she did in the first ep of season 1?
Her personality is so overbearing and really grated on me at the end, but I thought she was kind of cool at the start.
Also, the way she carries on a conversation in French is also not how I thought she would have done so, given how she was at the beginning as well.
Would love to hear others opinions!
Cayman waited patiently, watching as the man closed up the restaurant, as he lifted a bowl of the sauce, dipped his finger into it and licked it.
The freshly made stacks of Turkish pizza he shoved into the freezer.
Tomorrow's meals, the lurker guessed and grinned
His stomach growled and he placed a hand to calm it. Soon, he would have his fill if he was patient.
The man was ample bellied and took his time shuffling the boards and signage back inside.
"Safak DΓΆner en afhaalcentrum" was printed in homely, slanted red script, reminiscent of cookie letters, if they were made by a kid's shaky hands. Dipped in blood.
After what felt like an hour and a second, the last light went off.
The whistling man stumbled down the stairs and Cayman leapt at him.
He almost screamed but a cold pale hand forced itself down his mouth.
"You will not scream, call for help or raise an alarm in any way, you will do as I say and answer my questions, you will not struggle." Cayman licked the saliva off his fingers, He tasted just like her!
"Good, do you recognize this child?" The picture was from the hospital, the best he could have gotten his hands on but the OLVG wasn't particular about picture quality.
"No." The voice was calm as he replied but his eyes darted about madly, in panic.
"Do you have a daughter?" Cayman asked, trying another tactic.
"Yes." This reply came out harder, against his will, laced with that awareness and his fear.
"What's her name?"
"Aisha."
That didn't make sense.
"What age?" He had to be sure, even if he thought he was correct, he couldn't bear it.
"12." The man was weeping now.
Cayman wiped his eyes with a kerchief.
"In 2012, a baby girl was born to some Irena Stoomberg."
There was a flash of recognition in the man's eye and Cayman seized his shirt joyfully.
"Yes! you know her?" He whined
The man struggled internally for a moment, blood trickled down his nose, tempting, rude of him to start the feast so soon.
"We met at a bar in Leidseplein, I didn't know- please don't hurt me." The man begged
"Nonsense, I love you. I can't wait for you to meet Madeleine, she never got to meet her real daddy." Caymen chastised "I thought I was wrong when I tried the man she calls Father and he was so bland, and then the mother!"
"I thought I had been wrong about the taste, a heavy thought for sure, but I persevered and kept thinking, till I figured it out, I had to ask the mother again, no small gray, death makes women orne

However I feel like itβs always associated with the Madeleine McCann case, the three year old who disappeared in 2007. I would love to name my child Madeleine. Do you associate it with that horrible crime or not?
Hey, everyone! I'm Melanie, but I prefer being called Madeleine. Here are some of my interests:
Russian Revolutions, Rulers and everything in-between, Science (ESPECIALLY Anatomy and Physiology), Catholicism (I'm Roman-Catholic), anything about Mongolia, Animals, Anything Political, Weightlifting, Drugs, Queen (Freddie Mercury is my idol ahaha), I'm a extrovert, I love going on night drives, cooking, cleaning, wearing ugly christmas sweaters, I'm a feminist who likes uplifting other women, giving gifts, i'm conservative, sleeping in, dressing up in my fav. dresses, and videochatting. I'm also black, kosovian and mongolian if that matters.
(P.S.)- I'm also in a relationship with a very handsome Norwegian gangster (self-proclaimed, apparently), so don't be flirty or creepy.
